Review for: Deluxe Japanese Dinner Set

Each dish was beautiful and delicious, like a work of art. The fish was fresh, and it was even better because the chef cooked it himself. It was okay, except that it was dark in the evening and hard to find the restaurant.

Review for: Classic Japanese Cuisine Lunch Set

I made a reservation because I wanted to experience kaiseki cuisine. The service was good and the food was adequate. I think it would be better not to expect too much, but it was ? for the price. I felt a little disappointed after the course was over.

Review for: Standard Japanese Cuisine Lunch Set

The quality and taste of the food is significantly lower compared to the price. The location of the restaurant was great for exploring downtown Kyoto and visiting various temples after eating. I liked the very old Japanese style restaurant and the attitude of the clerk. However, the food is not satisfactory enough for the price to give it a low rating despite all of this.

Kyo Kaiseki KINMATA (近又) in Kyoto

Established in 1801, the first generation was from Omiya, and was called Omiya Matabachi. At first, he opened "Omiya" on the hexagonal string in Kazutani-cho. At that time, it was the usual place for drug dealers in Omiya. The two-story wooden building, the entrance made of red shells, the bamboo garden, and the cypress bath with an umbrella-shaped ceiling are typical of Kyoto townhouses for more than 200 years. It is still open for business as usual.
