Reviews
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just returned from this 6-day Western Sichuan tour and it was pure magic! Like living in a dream. Scenery (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): Yes, ~50% of time is travelling, but the journey IS the destination. Grasslands, snow mountains, meadows – absolutely breathtaking. Accommodation (⭐⭐⭐⭐): I chose the premium option. Not luxury, but clean, comfy, and great bang for buck. Driver & Group (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐): Driver was so kind. Fellow travellers became friends – we shared food and took photos for each other. Tips for specific travellers: • Non-Chinese speakers: Be aware – driver & most group members speak Chinese only. I was lucky an English-speaking member translated. Without that, it would be tough. • Muslims: Halal food is hard to find. We ate at 'Qingzhen' restaurants. Driver helped when possible, but patience is needed. Final verdict: Magical, unforgettable, highly recommended for nature lovers. I will definitely go again with my whole family! ❤️
The oxygen room was the most worthwhile part of the entire trip! After 9 PM, when the lights came on, the whole village quieted down. Our guide set up a telescope and helped us find Saturn and Jupiter. In late July, the Milky Way was visible to the naked eye. It was my first time seeing such a clear starry sky in over thirty years of city living; I was so moved I almost cried. The room had plenty of oxygen, and after breathing it for half an hour before bed, I slept soundly until morning with no headache.
It’s an event packed itinerary which could have been expanded over 8 days instead of 5 days. Driver was experienced and patient. Accomodation (luxury package) were nice and clean. A larger car would have been preferred since all of us had a luggage.
This tour to Daocheng Yading was amazing, like stepping into another world. Despite the cloudy weather, it was well worth the trip. The journey was long, but our skilled driver made it comfortable. Even though we didn't speak any Chinese, we communicated using a translator, and he was incredibly kind. We also upgraded our accommodation, which was fantastic, allowing us to rest comfortably for five days.
The scenery along the way is truly beautiful, although the bus ride is quite long. The accommodations were overall good. It's definitely worth visiting Yading, just remember to bring Rhodiola and various cold medicines. We had great weather this time, and the driver provided excellent service. Unfortunately, we didn't see any marmots.
The driver was responsible, punctual, and conscientious. We were very satisfied with his help with luggage, his explanation of the itinerary and meal arrangements, and his very stable driving, which made our trip very enjoyable.
everything from the booking to communication with the tour organiser, driver etc. were excellent. details were also provided in dept and the accommodations were perfect. our driver, Mr Chen Xing Yue, is friendly, patient and accommodating. His driving skills were also excellent and I truly enjoyed those 5 days.
I am very satisfied with this trip. The travel agency made thoughtful arrangements and followed up the whole process. The driver, Brother Gu, is a gold medal driver. He drives safely and stably, and is careful and punctual. The hotel chosen by the travel agency is also very comfortable and I highly recommend this trip.
we enjoying the trip. if the trip can make it 6 days will be Ideal. too tired on the road, especially golden week back to Chengdu was nightmare.
Just got back from my trip that started on July 22nd! The itinerary was incredibly well-designed. On the first day, we stayed in Danba at 1,800 meters to acclimatize, and then gradually ascended. Surprisingly, none of the 8 people in our group experienced severe altitude sickness. Siguniang Mountain's Shuangqiao Valley in July was as green as Switzerland; I highly recommend the rafting! For the Yading long route, I hiked to Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake. Although it was tiring, the team leader provided oxygen tanks in advance, and staying in an oxygen-enriched room in the scenic area helped me recover quickly for the next day. The biggest surprise was stargazing with the astronomical telescope; the details of the Milky Way were incredibly clear, and the leader even taught us how to photograph the starry sky with our phones. The commemorative medal was of good quality and added a great sense of occasion. The Tibetan costume Guozhuang dance party was so much fun, with everyone dancing in a circle; there was no awkwardness at all. A reminder: sunscreen and a waterproof jacket are essential, as it often rains in the afternoon!
