Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour from Krakow

The day before, I would send a letter or WhatsApp to confirm the meeting place (there are two pick-up and drop-off locations in the Klook system, which is easy to confuse). I joined the group at 6 o'clock in the morning. Basically, it took an hour to queue to enter the concentration camp. The tour guide explained very carefully. You can take a good look at this dehumanized place. It is recommended to bring simple meals and take advantage of the break to eat. The trip will end at about one or two o'clock.

The tour guide's explanation was very detailed and the entire itinerary was arranged smoothly. It's a heavy attraction but worth seeing. It's sad to see what's going on there and I wish there would be no more wars in the world.

A very good tour. Our driver Matt was great, he drove safely en was always on time and always take great care of his group. The guide inside(forgot her name) was exellent with more then 20 years experience!

Such a heavy experience but everything was such an eye-opener. Seeing everything and being there was on another level of emotions and feelings that gush so suddenly.

Avoid last minute change in schedule and stick to the original hotel pick-up arrangement instead of asking participants to go to a designated meeting point.

As mentioned in the previous comments, the itinerary was changed temporarily. The letter said that we would be notified of the meeting time and location the day before, but I really did not receive the letter (when I went to the service center, it said the system had a record of sending it, but I really didn't receive it...), so I went to meet at six in the morning, and waited for an hour. As a result, employees from another tour guide company nearby came to check on us and helped us contact the company we booked the trip with. However, because it was too early, nothing was open yet, so we could only wait until they opened and ask directly. The staff at the service desk who opened the door at 10 o'clock told us that the time had been changed to 1 o'clock in the afternoon, but we had a flight and couldn't go, so we had to cancel it. Although I don’t know what the final result will be, fortunately the customer service of both parties said that a refund can be made. I would like to thank the customer service and the local service office for their help. I hope I will have the opportunity to go there next time.

Very disappointed that the trip was canceled at short notice. I scheduled a visit to Auschwitz on July 19, 2024 for July 28, 2024 at 12:30 pm. I had to rearrange my original itinerary. However, at 18:30 that evening, we received another notification: "Hello, unfortunately we have to cancel tomorrow's tour of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum due to the high number of people and the large number of tour guides during the holidays. "No, the museum canceled our reservation for the tour guide. This is beyond our control. We apologize for the inconvenience." I asked if it could be changed to the next day, July 29, 2024, but the reply was that there was no way. So I decided to go to the official website to buy the tickets myself, but because the cancellation was so short-term, I couldn’t buy the English guide tickets for the next day on the official website. Since we were only scheduled to be in Krakow for two days, we had to choose to book tickets in other European languages. I couldn’t understand the nearly three-hour tour at all, so I had to do some homework in advance and read the English board on my own to understand. In the past two days, there was only a message from the local company office@legendarykrakow.pl notifying the cancellation of the cancellation (as above), and Klook did not come forward to deal with it. Very disappointed with this incident. PS: For travelers who have encountered this kind of thing, I met other Taiwanese people that day. They arrived at about 12 o'clock and queued for about an hour. Fortunately, there was an English quota for individual tourists on site at 14 o'clock, so it was okay. Try your luck on the spot, but this will make the itinerary unpredictable, so I will give you multiple methods for reference.

easy transport. fantastic driver. tour guide was horrible. she was rude and spoke broken English. not one person in our entire group understood anything. not only was it broken English but the words were not being annunciated to the point where each sentence was like one word and sounded like a different language. this women should not host and English tour due to this and the accent being extremely thick. not only could we not hear/learn anything but the guide wouldn’t let us stop to look at anything especially the boards with information that we wanted to read because we didn’t hear what she had said. there was no opportunity to ask questions and when someone did asks a question she got angry and said “I already told you that before”. the attitude she had, the way we were yelled at for stopping, and the lack of enthusiasm to the point where it was monotone and mundane made the experience horrible. it was an experience and an environment that we wanted to learn and better understand the history but instead there was a lack of importance and sincerity for such a prolific site. If you had relative attachment to the site due to family it would have felt incredibly disrespectful. as everything was brushed over as if we should have known every detail because she coukdnt be bothered to explain it. guide was there to be paid not to educate and it was disgusting
