Osaka 2-Day Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route & Kanazawa Tour

A fruitful trip - day 1 was in Nagano, strawberries picked were extremely huge and sweet, took a nice walk at the wasabi farm and tried their wasabi ice cream as well, then had a decent dinner at Hotel Belle Cour Inomata with modern ryokan-style rooms and an onsen. Day 2 was a full day at the Tateyama Alpine Kurobe Route where we took various forms of transport like trolley buses and cable cars (some of which will cease operation end of 2024), and got to see the snow wall which was crowded with tourists. Do bring sunglasses as the snow can be terribly bright, and dress in layers. Our guide was pleasant, sincere and knowledgeable but could be clearer with his instructions (e.g. many of us didn’t catch key info like where to get lunch on our own). He could speak English/Mandarin fluently. Overall an enjoyable tour and a cool break from the warmer temperatures in the Kansai area in May/June. Would recommend!

You don’t have to worry about 6 types of transportation to get to Tateyama Kurobe, and there are dedicated people to guide you. Even if you are traveling alone, you don’t have to worry, just join the Klook. All in all, I had a great time this time and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and snow scenery. The itinerary was well arranged. In addition to Tateyama Kurobe, the first day of the itinerary included a visit to strawberry and Wasabi farms. Although it was raining, it did not hinder the fun of picking strawberries and eating them immediately. However, the accommodation was poor. Dinner and breakfast were traditional Japanese food, but the quality was disappointing. They were the two worst meals in our entire Osaka trip. The male tour guide is also not very professional. He did not do enough in many places, perhaps due to lack of experience.

The Taiwanese tour guide and the Japanese driver were very nice, friendly, polite and professional. Regarding the itinerary: 1. I didn't have time to visit Matsumoto Castle, which was a pity! 2. The strawberries were very sweet and delicious! 3. I learned about the growing environment of wasabi. 4. The snow wall was not as high as in previous years due to the warm winter, but it was still shocking! 5. It would be better if the hotel we stayed in was a little newer.

Our tour guide, Mr. Masuda, provided incredibly enthusiastic service, making our family feel very welcome and ensuring our trip was well worth it. We highly recommend this dedicated young guide.

This time, the tour guide was very good, and the whole trip was unforgettable. He didn’t introduce the scenic spots, so we had to rush to leave. The only advantage was that there were enough people to go first, but it was the beautiful scenery of Tateyama Kurobe.

The tour guide rarely interacts with tourists. The journey feels like a rush and they are not very clear about the features.
