Reviews
Although the starting have some hiccups, but the overall journey is great, the tour even end in time. The guide Mario bring us to very nice spot for pictures, we even sat along for a little picnic lunch. The weather is blessed as well, after we left the rain started. But it is sad that nobody want to go for paddle boat.
firstly, Nicholas is amazing. he is humorous which was great for icebreaking. he is very on time during pickup, will call you to coordinate nearer to the pickup time. he tells us about the little stories here and there, not too much such that we cldnt have a good rest, and not too little such that we were bored. I believe the tour grp is split into different vans. our van had 8 ppl so it was quite cosy. the van is spacious, clean, and comfortable. the other reviews weren't kidding when they said WINDY roads - there was barely any straight roads when in the mountains, but straight all the way when coming back to Nice. we got to visit 2 small towns (Castellane and Sainte Marie), stopping otw to get down from the van to take pics, and Nicholas also allocated 30mins for us to do paddle boat - 10eur/hr (he knows it's a highly sought after activity!) however, I do feel that the paddle boating should be longer as time do pass by really quickly when you're on the lake. overall great experience, money well spent! a fun fact is that Nicholas knows the people in those small towns - when he causally introduced us to a honey lavender producer small shop as we were just happen to be walking pass, his friend actually gave us a discounted price when we bought from them! so cute!
Korean guides are expensive, so I found them after looking around! The day I went, there were 8 of us and everyone was polite and kind, so it was easy to get around! My English is not good, so my communication with the guide wasn't perfect, but she tried her best to teach me and communicate :) I think I'll miss each and every member I went with today^^ The tour was a little cold, so I couldn't see much, but I did get to see the local market in Castellane and showed them the valley in the middle, and because of the time, it was cold after eating in Mustier, so I couldn't go see the Mustier Star ㅠ But I was satisfied because I saw all the Verdon photo spots and even took a boat ride! It would definitely be better if I could speak English. The day I heard, there were 2 cars, so I made a separate reservation with my companion, but we ended up taking separate cars ㅠ If you find a companion and go, I think you should make a reservation together! If you get carsick, you really need to take motion sickness medicine because you'll be going on a bumpy road!
I am so incredibly satisfied with the Verdon tour with Jeff! 👍 I was worried because there weren't any reviews, and I wondered if I should take a Korean tour, but he picked us up and dropped us off right in front of the hotel! He even stopped by a cafe in the morning and took us to so many different spots throughout the day! Visiting the small and charming towns was also so great :) I was sad that I couldn't see the lavender, but he took me to a souvenir shop, and I was able to see Verdon from various perspectives! My husband is so grateful to Jeff 💙 We had a great experience! I don't usually write reviews like this, but the guide was so awesome that I had to come and write one. 😝👍
It was a very happy journey, the driver was very kind and funny, and the scenery was really great! The canyon is beautiful, the view from the top of the mountain is spectacular, and the view from the lakeside is also shocking. The ceramic town is also beautiful, filled with the aroma of lavender. It is really worth it~ The scenery along the way is wow wow wow wow wow wow wow. 😂
The tour guide Raphael was really great. He explained in detail along the way and cared about every member of the group. He also managed the time and journey smoothly. Thank you Raphael for giving us such a perfect experience
You must join this tour. Guide Nikola led us kindly and safely throughout the day trip. You can see beautiful villages and spectacular views of the canyon. All the roads we passed were beautiful. It would be perfect if you participate in the tour when the lavender is in full bloom. You will also be given time to experience the canoe experience, which was the most enjoyable part of the trip. (Fee not included) The guide is happy to take photos of you. He even explained things we see along the way. I think it will be a more efficient and helpful trip than renting a car. It is definitely not an easy road to drive. I recommend seeing it in person, if u r planning to travel Nice.
I was impressed by the guide's attention to detail and kindness. Excellent driving skills, comfortable and humorous, and the best guide for introducing beautiful viewpoints. Magnificent scenery, animals, beautiful lakes, great weather, I highly recommend this tour.
I went to the Verdon Gorge today with Mario as my guide. He made a great first impression with his kindness from the start. He's also a skilled driver and his passionate explanations made him seem like a true expert. Thanks to his kindness, consideration, expertise, and skillful driving, it was a comfortable trip. I highly recommend him, he's the best guide! Thank you.
I am so satisfied!! I made great memories with the cheerful and kind guide Mario!! He picked me up and dropped me off in front of the hotel, stopped the car at places with nice views every now and then to take pictures and gave me time to enjoy it!! He adjusted the schedule well according to the weather conditions and gave me a great video as a gift at the end, which made me feel good^^ I think it would be better to go out to the suburbs for a day rather than just staying in Nice!! I rode a boat at the Verdon Gorge, so it would be good to bring a swimsuit and enjoy it together!! It was a great trip.🤗
