Fantastic
We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay at this Ibis. I’ve stayed in a few good ones and in a few really not so good ones in the past, so my expectations weren’t great. I was therefore really surprised (and happy!) about our experience. First, the staff. Wow! They were each and every single one of them possibly the friendliest staff at any hotel I’ve stayed in. They were lovely and friendly and kind and really helpful. Our room was really great! I don’t know if all of the rooms are like this, but, we got lucky enough to get a room at the front with huge bay windows, that actually opened! And finally, the room was quite clean (bed, sheets and towels etc) but it appeared that the floor hadn’t been swept well, but honestly, I can live with that. I Actually liked the area. It was very close to Botanic train station and walkable to the centre of Belfast. It’s a pretty mixed neighbourhood, with young people and students as well as young immigrant families, older ‘professor’ looking types, to a few street folk, who although sketchy looking, were never ever threatening or scary.

Great

Solo stay

Great location in terms of proximity to Queen's University Belfast, the Botanic Gardens, and Ulster Museum. The property and the street it's located on were nice; however, the surrounding neighborhood was gritty.

Th hotel was ideally placed for what we wanted. We were visiting our granddaughter at Queen’s University. It was clean and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our room was spacious quiet and had everything we required. We did not have breakfast there but we did have coffee. The service was excellent.

Very comfy beds, good sized rooms and decent breakfast. My only complaint is the walls are little thin but still very tolerable.

Very well located for access to Belfast city centre and beyond. The train station at Botanic provides easy access to trains north and south of Belfast. There is lots to do around the university quarter, Great Victoria Street and Dublin Road. The hotel itself is well equipped with a 24 hour bar and access to food. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful

Great
It was nice, but the cost didn’t really reflect the room and I would be intrigued to see what the budget Ibis was like in comparison, as this felt like a budget. Tiny room, “pod” washroom kinda thing Staff were super pleasant and helpful Room was dusty so that was disappointing

Finding parking on the street can be very challenging during the day however the hotel has an agreement with a neighbour hotel with a car lot you can use. We found this very helpful during our stay
