security was overall kind front desk hit a mess on being helpful. Had to ask for soap multiple times and breakfast was extremely undesirable.. for the price you can find better

The property was in a tricky to get to area, the power goes out often while I stayed there. The surrounding area is only for the brave. But even after all that I would stay there cause the staff is great, the room is clean, and the dinning is fantastic. If you don’t mind a little noise, maybe a little reading when the power goes and a real experience of Kenya, this is the place to start with.

I enjoyed my stay at Hemak the only downside is the noise at night but that’s not their fault it’s the sorrounding area . Anyways I love the convince of the hotel .

We did not go inside. There was a roll-down security gate like you see in bad parts of town. A guard stood outside and would let you in through a door in the gate. You could not see the actual entrance behind the gate. It was just dark behind the gate. Also on a very busy and congested street. Loud music and street noise. The driver that picked us up for our tour did not want us to stay there. He brought us to the Best Western which was terrific.

our driver drove us to the property and it was in such a bad neighborhood he would not let us out of the car. There was no hotel sign and chainlink fence and gate to go in and there were three thugs by the gate to let you in. It was dark no lighting and people were in the streets partying and yelling and I was scared to get out of the car. We had paid and went to stay at another hotel!
