Lovely place. Lovely staff.

As a person of color I felt very intimidated by the receptionist today. I went to ask for the mini bar to be refilled and for the AC to be fixed (note, temperature is 29C in Amsterdam today). However, the receptionist looked at me with a frown from the very start of our conversation. There was 0 apology or even any hint of “oh that’s too bad” about our AC being dysfunctional. I felt too scared to even finish my sentences, and we were dismissed abruptly after asking her for these 2 things. Thankfully, Alexandra quickly arrived and helped us sort both things out. She recognized how stressed I was and showed genuine empathy. She listened to us so that we could tell her the error message we saw on the AC so that it can be fixed properly. Alexandra also explained that we didn’t need to carry the drinks ourselves and the mini bar will be restocked in our rooms. When I communicated my concerns about my initial encounter, the first receptionist STOPPED helping her other guests and INTERRUPTED my communication with Alexandra, calling me “rude” for saying that I felt unsafe and for telling the difference I observed between the way that I was treated compared to other guests who are not peoples of color. I was shaking and nearly crying because of how intimidated I was, given, that I deal with very challenging populations as part of my work, and yet I felt scared in this very place, for the very first time at any hotel. Host pressured me to delete my comment. AC broken during entire time

Good option for the price.

Very modern and clean, Hasta la Vista is an amazing restaurant, such a cool vibe in the bar side listening to the DJ spin tunes.

Staff was great! Very new and clean hotel, located steps to the Metro.

I LOVED staying here. First, the location is perfect—right next to the metro station that will take you to and from the airport (in like less than 10 minutes!…arriving directly to the airport terminals for check in. Best system ever!) The location was quiet but with plenty of cafes but close enough to the city center to get there through a quick bike ride or a medium length walk. I didn’t take an uber or even the metro once while I was there, traveling mostly on foot and on bike (bike was best—reserve one of these, take it wherever, lock it up when you want to walk/stop and carry on). The room was beautiful and super clean and the rooftop was incredible with lovely cocktails. I come back to Amsterdam, I’m coming here! I also ate at a carribean inspired restaurant that wasn’t too far from the hotel—delicious! Called Labyrinth Cocktail Soul Food & Poetry Bar (photos 4 & 5). Very sexy, yummy food and great drinks! I tried the smoked haring from Frens Herringhandl—great quick lunch/snack and had Nepalese that was also very great here: Babal—service was excellent too! (Photos 6 & 7). I also recommend the Van Gogh Museum and a canal boat ride with Kinboat Amsterdam (Photo 8) (if you go at night, bring a blanket or bundle up—it gets chilly but it’s beautiful and worth it). Nice room, great location and friendly staff!

Very comfortable hotel in great location - very close to airport, train and public transportation stations. Definitely my go to in Amsterdam.

Marcos at reception was above and beyond friendly the whole staff just wonderful. Beer n juice in mini fridge in room free and comfortable beds what more can you ask for.

Super beau séjour, le staff est super aimable et il nous ont aidé avec nos bagages! Merci
