Hotel was historical which is cool but a little run down in places for the price. My biggest beef was $65 parking which they double charged me. Only stayed one night.

The staff went above and beyond. Nothing in my review has to do with them. The rooms are a bit outdated. The bathrooms are beautiful but overall the first room we had smelt like cigarettes and the HVAC didn't work. Again staff was so accomodating immediately switched our room. The biggest letdown was from the marketing online I thought the pool at the hotel bar was open to the hotel guests at all hours and it wasn't. The pool you have access to is a bit sad. The food options weren't really available for lunch. But, I wouldnt let this deter you from booking here. The history of the hotel is really cool and it's a very welcoming environment

My wife and I stayed here for our 20th wedding anniversary last night, and upon check in our key didn’t work. I made the trip all the way back from the fifth floor to get the key reprogrammed, and went up again, and it didn’t work again. Third trip to the front desk, we were given a different room, but upon opening the door it reeked of smoke, either cigarette, or possibly marijuana. At this point, we were given a third room, but the view from the third room was of the ugly pipes on the roof on the back of the building, even though we had requested and paid for a room with a view. Finally, we were given a fourth room, which finally was acceptable. It got better briefly, especially after they told us that the first round of drinks would be on them at the on site bar. That being said, we were still charged for the drinks at checkout, I had to ask for them to actually honour their offer of the first round free, and we were also billed for breakfast, even though we had booked a rate that included breakfast. I’d even asked the server what I was able to get within the confines of the breakfast package, and was told that we can get anything on the menu, and it would be covered by the breakfast credit. However, at check out we were initially build $56 for the not free free drinks, and the breakfast that was only partially covered. After arguing that came down to $28, but the fact is when the first round is supposed to be free, and breakfast is supposed to be included, it should be $0

I arrived after 10pm exhausted from traveling and booked for one night for a specific work meeting being held there. I was advised (by a very nice front desk worker) that the hotel overbooked and they would be putting me at another hotel! Not the front desk workers fault but as you can imagine a huge inconvenience for a trip less than 24 hours specifically booked for being on site for a meeting. The hotel they sent me to was not nearly as nice and required a later night and earlier morning.
