we had a wonderful stay at Mondello Hotel. the accommodation was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. we especially appreciated how well-equipped the kitchen was, with everything we needed during our stay. a lovely touch was the souvenir that was left for us as an anniversary gift, which made our visit feel extra special and memorable. thank you for your hospitality, we would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

The kitchen was fully equipped,free washing machine which is always a bonus when travelling easy parking. and management helped us out when we had to cut out stay earlier with no penalties Thanks

Clean room. Very clean bathroom. Great water pressure in the shower. Comfortable bed. Handy to have the kitchen for breakfasts. Very quiet. Super friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend. We will stay here again when next in Kaikoura.

Fantastic
New management. Extremely helpful and friendly. I did stay here in December 2025, but found it a much better experience overall this time around. Excellent location. Very good value for money. Would definitely book here again if/when visiting Kaikōura.
