Super cute property! Had coffee outside in the garden and listened to all the birds. The room was great, spacious, clean and comfy. Walking distance to our favorite shops and restaurants in Cambria and a short drive to the beach.

The room was conveniently located and spacious. Beds were very comfortable and the space was clean and could accommodate multiple adults comfortably. We loved that there was a fridge, microwave, kitchen table, and tea pots and sets. Cherry on top was the fireplace and tv for each separate room, one set for the king bed side and one set for the side with the two queen beds. The bathroom was spacious and there were ample towels to use, lots of space to place luggage neatly. Clean hardwood floors. We loved being so close to Main Street to walk to eat at the restaurants, bakery and wine shop, We had an awesome time,

Such a cute place. Love the little touches like the private tour when you check in, the games in the lounge area, the adorable tea cups, their happy hour drinks, an actual real key on a gold keychain, and the fire pit on a nice patio. I wasn’t expecting much from the price, so was very pleasantly surprised. Certain things are outdated, but in a cool old fashioned way. And you can walk to shops and restaurants so the location is perfect. Would stay here again.

Good
This was our third stay at Rigdon House and our worst. We like Rigdon House because check-in and check-out is--at least was--easy; rooms are clean with good amenities; restaurants and shops are in easy walking distance; and there's a huge patio in the back with lots of seating. It was our worst visit because: 1) There was no desk clerk available much of the time. In our past visits there was always a clerk at or very near the check-in desk. We had to wait to check in. There was a posted phone number, which I called, but I had to leave a message. It was never answered. A clerk finally appeared. To his credit, he was friendly and helpful. But there was no clerk available when we left Rigdon House to head home. I like to get a print-out of the receipt to make sure there are no unexpected charges. (There never have been.) 2) The room mattress was terrible. It actually squeaked and creaked--fairly loudly--with each and every turn of our bodies. As said, this was our third stay. It is very probably our last, mostly because of the absence of the desk clerk.

Bed was great, which in my opinion is the most important aspect of any hotel room. There was a huge amount of space in the room, which we appreciated. They are dog friendly, and the rooms provide enough space for fur babies, even though we weren't able to bring ours. The staff is helpful and the location is fabulous to hit some cool parts of Cambria. We loved hearing the frogs from the nearby creek and the view is great from the room. We liked the firepit outside as well. Parking was easy and the wifi was pretty fast. Even though it's an older property, everything works. It's not the fanciest place ever (it shows its age), but it has a really nice mellow vibe, and it has now become our "go-to" place to stay whenever we want a mini-vacation in Cambria.

Imagine going back in time where hospitality meant something…this property is all about making the guest feel welcome. Christian is absolutely the best host and mixologist I’ve ever known yo manage a property…and I am 79. Boutique, a lovely relaxed energy…but most of all…a welcoming host and a caring owner. 5-stars. ❤️
