Solo stay

When traveling to Europe (or abroad), as a solo female traveler I carefully check each perspective hotel to make sure that it meets my specific needs. I want to ensure that it is in a good, safe location, has excellent reviews, has a restaurant, has a place for an after dinner drink should I desire one, and is easy to get to from an airport, train, or bus terminal. I thought that the Triglov Bled hotel met these very specific criteria. Unfortunately, I was very mistaken for the following reasons: 1. If you do not have a car, it is not easy to get to the hotel. You are reliant on taxis (more about this later) which are quite expensive, given that this is a resort town. I had to wait over an hour for the hotel to call me a taxi from where the bus drops off passengers. 2. I booked my hotel many months before my actual travel date. The hotel had amazing reviews and spoke highly of its Michelin reviewed restaurant. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant in the evening as they closed it. This is a re ent change and it means you have no access to food. While the town of Bled has really dining options, you are literally forced to spend 30-40 euros round trip to get to your destination. That really starts to add up if you are staying multiple days. 3. The very cute cellar bar that was advertised was closed. They were short a bartender. 4. My room was stupid small. I don’t need a lot is space but if they put you in room 307, decline. I could go on. Pass on this hotel!

Our stay at Hotel Triglav Bled was absolutely fantastic. We had a room with a breathtaking view over Lake Bled, which made the entire experience feel magical. The weather during our stay was incredible, and being able to enjoy those lake views from the hotel was truly unforgettable. The staff was exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming throughout our stay. On top of that, all the facilities are first class. We enjoyed two massages at the spa, and the service was extraordinary. The hotel also offers a sauna and swimming pool, which made the experience even more relaxing. Although the hotel is located a bit away from the center of town, it is still walkable in about 35 minutes, and honestly, the walk around Lake Bled is so beautiful that it becomes part of the experience itself. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, elegant, and memorable stay in Bled.

The only great thing about this hotel are the views and the staff. It is very tired and the so called fabulous restaurant isn't even open for dinner. It is out of the way too. Nowhere ti sit and admire the views unless in the restaurant areas. How you describe it as exceptional is beyond me

Good

The hotel was not a good fit for us. It was clean, room and balcony were spacious, the staff was polite, and the view from our balcony was truly spectacular. But it’s on the quiet side of the lake, had an extremely limited restaurant menu (one page total with plenty of white space) the bathtub is poorly configured and the place personified faded beauty. Think late Victorian chic. To be fair, I noticed there were returning customers as we checked in, so lots of people must be satisfied. Other than the million dollar view, it was not a place I’d pay to return.
