The property is clean and has a lovely new restaurant and bar area. We were only staying one night - would have loved to stay longer! Great location about one block from Edinburgh Waverly Station.

Solo stay

Room was fine, though the window opened to a rooftop that was undergoing renovations with a pallet of flammable material sitting right next to the window. The place was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Great location and perfect for single travelers. Unfortunately the boiler was out during my stay, and the breakfast/dinner options were limited as a result. Dinner was pricey, especially given the limitations.

This is an OK hotel in the heart of the downtown area. But be warned that you will have to park at least a 10 minute walk away so be prepared to walk your bags through the city center in order to check in and check out. The staff is friendly, but amenities could’ve been better.

The view of the castle/monument/Old Town from the balcony was absolutely stunning. The rooms were clean and comfortable - a firm bed, but I slept well every night. The restaurant in the hotel was new and really wonderful as well. The location is so convenient for the trains/bus/trams/ etc. We will absolutely be back!

For business

I was kindly upgraded, it was a nice room but pokey bathroom. Breakfast was disappointing. Staff in the hotel are nice.
