The room was in bad need of an update. Bathroom door was rotten. Mould in the shower. Glasses in the room Were dirty, had to ask for clean ones. Everything just a bit old and tatty. Charged for car parking which we didn’t expect. Food was ok. Would expect better for the rate

We were given a wheelchair friendly room although we are not disabled, grey decor a bit depressing. Compensated for by large telly, fridge, more plug sockets than I have ever seen in a hotel room, including a European socket. Breakfast very good with coffee machine with real milk instead of powdered milk. Had to pay for parking but process straightforward, unlike at Novotel where we stayed next, which was a nightmare.

Location had a great view, about 35mins drive from Edinburgh waverly station. One less star because we found bugs in the toilet. Also, the toilet rolls/papers were poor quality which left us feeling uncomfortable to use. Make sure to get water bottles for your stay, because there’s none in the hotel. Breakfast buffet had limited options overall (less diverse). Bed was very comfortable. Overall a good stay and will definitely come back.
