The room decor was very depressing and unimaginative. The couch was a long ways from the TV. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. The bathroom countertop was very small. The breakfast choices were all junk food except the very good scrambled eggs. We stayed in the Ambassador Embassy suites in North Reno and they were laid out SO much better and had better decor. Needless to say, we were very disappointed and won't stay in a Hyatt again. But the staff was GREAT!!! Very personable and helpful.

When we arrived we were told the hotel had overbooked their rooms and our reservation had been cancelled. We received no prior notification on this.

Great
We had a good over night stay on our way home. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The only negative was a large group of people, 30+, who had taken over the entire pool area. They treated it like it was their own with coolers, pizza boxes, aweful music, trash and empty beer cans everywhere. The hotel staff were not able to do much and the manager was unreachable. If you don't try to use the pool area, you will have a good stay.

Well the Park Hyatt is off my list of chick slick hotels that are supposed to be…! The hotel is new to people who lived in the area, it sits on one side of a mall historically surrounded by desert and highways. At checkin-I was greeted with a $10 dollar outdoor, uncovered parking charge that was sloped where spots were available. I chalked this up to corporate great or ways of hiding the true cost of a nights stay. Everything is new, almost functional, and cheap. The phone next to the bed is cool. It is high tech linked and integral to the electrical plug holders. Cool, however you can’t plug in the plug because the phone is in the way. It also takes quite a bit of the nightstand real estate, rendering almost unusable for phones or laptops/but it was able to hold a cup of water-oh joy! When I arrived, about 4:15 PM, I wanted a shower, because I was going to dinner with friends. Turned shower on to get hot water going-oops it was slightly luke wRm. I switched on the sink to verify..same NO hot water. I really wanted a shower from hours on the road jumped on, expecting that it might heat up, I hurried because all it did was get cooler! Ok, I’ve lived in combat zones I can take it. I tried at morning to shave-same tepid water. Ok, as if that wasn’t enough to make me upset and swear them off, I was getting cold from the AC. Decided to turn it off. It displayed off but the hum of the motors and AIR continued to make noise and stream in all night. I couldn’t leave fast enough.
