Great
Very well designed, but also rather small rooms. We didn't have a parking spot, but there was no difficulty parking on the street. Easy walking distance to the beach and restaurants. All in all, we had a very nice stay.

We recently stayed for three nights at the Surf Lodge in Stinson Beach, splitting our family between Suite #2 (with the kitchenette) and Room #3, and had a wonderful stay. The office staff were incredibly welcoming, and the property has a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. The cabins are charming, with beautiful private courtyards that feel like your own little retreat. Highlights: * Beach towels, chairs, and an outdoor shower for rinsing off sand. * Exceptionally comfortable mattresses. * Blackout shades (bottom-up shades would provide even more daytime privacy). * The communal dining table and fire pit. * Suite #2’s kitchenette was perfect for our family’s food allergies, with a two-burner cooktop, microwave, mini fridge, Nespresso machine, cookware, dishes, and utensils. * Great-tasting drinking water from the kitchen faucet. Although there is no A/C, the windows and ceiling fan kept the room comfortable. Suggestions: * Add a serving tray, melamine dishes, an electric tea kettle, and kitchen scissors. * Increase storage. There were only four hangers, no drawers, and much of the closet was used for supplies. * Add wall hooks near the entry. * A filtered water and ice station would be appreciated for guests without kitchenettes. Helpful items to bring: * Paper towels, Ziplock bags, disinfecting wipes, butter/oil, and extra spices (salt and pepper are provided). * A white-noise fan, as the cottages are on the main road next to the fire department. * Wetsuits

The hotel was great! Beds were comfortable and the room was excellent. It was like staying in our a little house and not really like a hotel which we greatly appreciated. Close walk to the beach.

Nice place to stay and great location! It’s right on the strip of shops and restaurants, and very short walk to the beach. Friendly, helpful staff, and everything was in order for our arrival and stay.

The Surf Lodge was modern and clean, however when you can hear the guests next door talking and then snoring all night you don't get a good nights rest for $400+ a night. We stayed in a Queen room and it was tight, the bathroom was narrow with a small sink and shower area. Our one lucky score was a parking spot that didn't originally come with the room, definitely a saving grace on a holiday weekend. We won't be staying there again as we didn't wake well rested.

Fantastic
Super cool property located in town. The renovation details of the lodge is very upscale. Lots of great amenities; comfy bed; great kitchenette, cool bathroom decor. Good communication from staff and property kept very clean. Great spot to enjoy weekend getaway. Traffic can be busy during the day but everyone is very friendly on the roads to the beach.

Solo stay

Had no WiFi the entire time. When I notified them they sent the password that I already knew and didn’t work. I texted back that the password was not working and didn’t hear from them again. When I checked out the next day I mentioned this and the staff member only said, oh you’re the only one whose password didn’t work. Nothing else was said.
