For ticket pick by QR code, how do I collect my tickets?
You'll get a QR code in your booking confirmation email. Simply go to your departure train station and get the QR code scanned to collect your physical tickets.
Generally, you can look out for the Japanese characters "えきねっと" (usually in green) on the machine/counter to collect your tickets.
For trains departing from a JR East station (i.e. Tokyo, Sendai, Nagano, Niigata), visit any reserved ticket machine or counter to pick up your tickets. At the machine, select the QR code button at the bottom-right corner of the screen and scan your QR code.
For trains departing from a JR Central station (i.e. Shin-Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya), visit the JR Tokai ticket office and use the QR code scanner to pick up your tickets.
For trains departing from a JR Hokuriku station (i.e. Kanazawa, Itoigawa), visit the Midori ticket machines and scan your QR code.
For trains departing from a JR Hokkaido station (i.e. Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto), use a reserved ticket machine to pick up your tickets.
Be aware that tickets can't be collected from the JR West ticketing machines/counters.
Having problems scanning your QR code? Enter the 17-digit booking reference number (e.g. 22522325896521268).
