In this performance, multidisciplinary artist-run label Feelers experiment with Conway's Game of Life, a mathematical model that abstractly represents life, death, and birth. The model's output is both simple and unpredictably complex. Chaotic patterns arise from a tidy set of rules. What does it mean to perform with an intelligence that is other-than-human? How can our bodies play what is famously described as a ‘zero-player game’? Join Feelers as they explore the performance possibilities of the Game of Life.
