Run for Girls 2023｜Marathon Introduction

Every little step counts, together we can make a big step forward in advancing girls' rights! This Easter holiday, Plan International Hong Kong will be co-organising with Cosmopolitan again to bring "Run for Girls" back in the form of a physical run at the Hong Kong Science Park.

The event aims to fight for and promote girls' rights, protect girls in developing countries from discrimination, inequality and violence. Over 4,500 participants had joined the run since 2017. Fund raised this years will be used to support our anti-child marriage projects in Bangladesh.

Race Group

Open Group - 10.11 km (individual)

• Age group: 18-29 years old｜30-44 years old｜45 years old or above
• Gender groups: There are men's and women's groups for each age group
• Starting time and time limit: 10:05 (120 minutes)
• Rules: ranking according to the conference time
• Awards: Each category has a champion/second/quarter

Open Group - 3km (Individual Group) (Beauty Group)

• Age Group: 18+
• Gender category: only women's category
• Start time and time limit: 10:15 am (120 minutes)
• Rules: Individual group: ranking according to the meeting time｜Birdty group: team competition, only 2 to 4 female teams, and the ranking is based on the sum of the first 2 team members' completion time
• Awards: Each category has a champion/second/quarter

Easy parent-child 1km run

• Age Group: Adult: 18 years old or above｜Child: 3 to 17 years old only
• Start time and time limit: 11:45 am (60 minutes)
• Rules: Team competition, only at least 1 adult accompanied by 1 child, maximum 2 adults and 10 children
• Awards: no ranking and awards

Enterprise Cup 3K Run

• Age group: 18 years old or above
• Start time and time limit: 10:15 am (120 minutes)
• Rules: Team competitions, the ranking is based on the sum of the finishing times of the first 3 players
• Awards: Runners Championship/Asia/Session and Enterprise’s Highest Fundraising Award (Champion)｜Enterprise’s Largest Number of People Award (Champion)

Awards

Public group

• The champion of each category will receive a trophy, a one-year fitness membership of Square Fitness, Swisse health care products, and Victorinox fashion gifts (total value over $11,000).
• The runner-up of each category will receive a medal, a one-year fitness membership of Square Fitness, Swisse health care products, and Aviara skin care products (total value over $11,000).
• The runner-up in each category will receive a medal, a one-year Square Fitness membership, and Swisse health care products (total value over $9,000).

Enterprise group

• The champion, runner-up and runner-up of the Enterprise Cup will be awarded a trophy.
• The winner of the highest corporate fundraising award will receive a trophy.
• The winner of the Most Largest Enterprise Award will be awarded a trophy.

Each successfully registered runner can get a runner bag and a gift bag. Runners who become CosMart members in advance can get more exciting gifts at the event site.

Epidemic Prevention Arrangements

• As the government relaxes Hong Kong's epidemic prevention restrictions, runners are not required to provide a new coronavirus nucleic acid test (PCR) or rapid antigen test (RAT) before the race.
• The above epidemic prevention guidelines may be changed in response to the latest government epidemic prevention guidelines. The organizer will announce the latest arrangements and guidelines to the participants in due course.
