Movie Introduction

Generation gaps are limited not only to human connections, occurring also in landscapes, values and culture — these are the different changes Singapore had gone through. Featuring a selection of local short films, Rhythm of Time — Mini Film Festival is a time capsule that documents various depictions of generation gap in Singapore from the 1940s to the present day.

Many of these critically-acclaimed shorts are no longer easily accessible to the public, with the oldest one produced more than 25 years ago. Carefully curated by Screentone, this mini film festival will be presented both physically and online, accompanying the launch of SCCC’s latest short film, Aunt Lotus & Her Dream Bicycle.
