staff were friendly for the most part and understood most of our instructions in english. with how expensive food can be in HK, their breakfast buffet of 150 HKD good for 2 was a huge steal in my opinion. Place is far from subway though but is usually a 4 minute walk to the bus stations where you'll do most of the commuting.

It is very convenient to buy coupons on Klook. You can use them immediately after purchase. You can buy cakes, bread and pastries. It is great. Price: Buying 2 coupons is equivalent to 14% off, which is better than other offers of Maxim's.

These iconic beacons have been lighting up the street since the early 20th century and were declared a monument in 1979. As you stroll past, imagine the days before electrification, when these lamps were manually lit, casting a warm glow over the bustling city. A visit here is not just a walk down a street, but a journey into Hong Kong's rich history.

Duddell Street Steps

Discover the charm of the Duddell Street Steps, a historical gem completed in 1883. These steps are more than just a pathway; they are a testament to classic architecture with their elegant Tuscan-style balustrades and heavily moulded newels. Whether you're an architecture enthusiast or a history buff, the steps offer a picturesque setting that has captured the imagination of filmmakers and visitors alike. Come and see why this site is a beloved backdrop for Hong Kong dramas and films.

Granite Steps

These steps are not only a functional passageway leading to Ice House Street but also a piece of Hong Kong's architectural history. As you ascend, take a moment to appreciate the craftsmanship and the stories these stones could tell. It's a perfect spot for those who appreciate the blend of utility and historical significance.

Cultural and Historical Significance

Duddell Street, named after early landowners George and Frederick Duddell, is steeped in history, having witnessed pivotal events like the British annexation of Hong Kong Island in 1841. Despite the damage from Super Typhoon Mangkhut in 2018, the site was quickly restored, showcasing the city's resilience and dedication to preserving its heritage.
