I learned about Walt Disney's life and his commitment to numerous Disney works! I visited alone this time, but I would like to bring my family when I travel to San Francisco again. I especially recommend it to families with children!!

This is my first time at such a huge science museum. I heard the space exhibit is famous, but I didn't get a chance to see it. It's really large with a wide variety of things to see.

The museum's exhibits are extensive and feature many interactive multimedia displays, making it well worth a visit! Tickets are USD 25 at the door. I realized that choosing this museum with the two-attraction pass wasn't the best deal. I'd recommend buying a single ticket, plus you get a paper ticket as a souvenir. My mistake!

Cultural and Historical Significance

Point Bonita Lighthouse is a beacon of maritime history on the West Coast, having guided ships safely since 1855. It played a pivotal role during the California Gold Rush, ensuring safe passage through the Golden Gate's challenging waters. As the last staffed lighthouse on the California coast, it holds a place on the National Register of Historic Places. The lighthouse's rich history includes a relocation in 1877 due to fog, and it shares unique architectural features with the Farallon Island light, such as iron gargoyles shaped like American eagles. The historical fog signal, once operated by Sgt. Maloney, further enriches its maritime legacy. The preservation efforts by the U.S. Coast Guard and the National Park Service ensure that its historical significance is maintained for future generations.
