Alice Springs Day trips

The Uluru stargazing tour is led by drivers and guides from atrip. A whole busload of tourists will be divided into Chinese and English tours, so you can group yourselves according to your language preference. The stargazing tour is extremely affected by weather factors, such as cloudy weather that may obscure the stars. The Chinese-speaking guide on this tour was very knowledgeable about constellations and combined astronomy with Eastern historical and cultural allusions, so I absorbed a lot of new knowledge. However, when it came to the photo session, the stars were not very prominent due to too many clouds, but I still got a very precious nighttime photo with Uluru and the sky. Finally, we used a telescope to admire Saturn and the moon. I thought it was great to be able to feel the glittering spotlights provided by nature.

Iur guides Jesse and Celia were amazing. They shared their wealth of knowledge and fielded questions with ease. Sunrise at Uluru was incredible and hot drinks and snacks certainly added to the experience. Kata Tjuṯa Walpa Gorge walk was such a contrast and the final stop gave us a panoramic view of both locations. Miney well spent.

I heard that the Field of Light is better as a sunrise tour versus visiting at night, and while I can't directly say that it is since I didn't do the night tour, I do think the sunrise tour was the way to go. You get a good amount of time to walk around yourself (although try to be in front for the guide taking your picture so that you have more time to walk around), and then you're able to watch the sunrise with a nice view of both Ulutu and Kata Tjuta in the far background.

I felt very safe with the driver's careful driving. Also, they were very kind. The BBQ preparation was efficient. There were many salads with mayonnaise, so I would have liked some leafy greens as well.

Really enjoyed it! definitely well worth the money. Pick up and drop off was smooth. Bubbles and Nibbles were great!! Uluru was spectacular!

this is a good overview half day tour to see uluru and its surroundings. guide was very informative.

Our guide was excellent in both their explanations and driving. We also appreciated them taking wonderful photos for us. The tour was on time, and the walking pace was just right. Exploring Kata Tjuta was a great experience. Thank you!

Getting up close to the rock was one of the highlights of this trip! Michael, our tour guide, is the best! He shared a lot of interesting stories and facts about Uluru. The banana bread during the sunrise picnic was so good too! 👌

Something unexpected happened at Simpsons Gap. Our vehicle broke down and couldn't continue the tour. We had to wait an hour for a replacement, which shortened our day tour by an hour. To make matters worse, the replacement vehicle wasn't as comfortable or spacious as the original. While other companies offer similar tours at lower prices, I'm still grateful that Emu Run had a backup plan in place.
