Departing from Kuching city at 7:00 AM, a 30-40 minute drive will take you to the pier for Bako National Park. From the pier, a 10-15 minute boat ride will bring you to Bako National Park itself. Inside the park, you can see wildlife such as monkeys, wild boars, and venomous snakes up close. The tour starts at 7:00 AM and runs until 2:00 PM. The walking portion through the forest is quite long, so it might be challenging for the elderly or those with limited mobility. We recommend getting plenty of rest the day before joining the tour. While many visitors to Kuching also explore places like the Sarawak Cultural Village and Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, the highlight of Kuching is truly Bako National Park. We had a fantastic tour with Hans and his captain, who truly lived up to his nickname "Eagle Eye." We saw Irrawaddy dolphins, proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, and fireflies. The tour was very informative and had a good dose of humor. Our children had a lot of fun, and the food on board was delicious. The guides were very considerate of the animals, for example, frequently and promptly turning off the engine to avoid disturbing them. This was very important to us beforehand, as we want to protect nature and not overly disturb the animals with our presence. We found this to be very appropriate and can wholeheartedly recommend the tour.

Easy to redeem ticket with the sales person there, nice experience with friends to join the sunset cruise to see the Kuching view. We can eat the kek lapis, drink water and enjoy the performance while we wait for the sunset.

He guided us through each of the traditional Sarawak houses, sharing fascinating insights into their history, architecture, and unique cultural heritage. His engaging explanations made the visit both enjoyable and educational. We were warmly welcomed with a traditional cultural dance, which created a wonderful first impression. The stage performances were vibrant, entertaining, and showcased the rich diversity of Sarawak’s ethnic communities with great talent and energy. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kuching - it is an experience not to be missed!

recommended to sign up for the tour. the tour package includes the return transfer from hotel within designated area to site, the admission ticket, and the return buggy ride within the park. the tour guide also gave useful tips.

A very worthwhile trip! We were picked up on time from our hotel, and then driven to the Jetty in Santubong about half an hour or so away, and then ushered onto a boat. Everything felt safe, smooth, and well-planned. A good brunch was provided. And most importantly, we saw dolphins and crocodiles!

A very good experience, thanks to our guide, captain, and driver who were all very welcoming! The organization was well-managed, and we were lucky enough to observe dolphins up close, as well as newborn baby turtles. The team was punctual in picking us up and dropping us back at the hotel.
