In 2019, London welcomed 30 million people who came to be wow-ed by a West End show, shop ‘til they dropped or visit a hipster hangout in Hackney 🎭
And no, before you ask, we don’t have the stats for 2020, and even if we did, chances are we wouldn’t want to shout about them because it would lessen the point we’re trying to make! And that point, dear reader, is that London is a magical place to visit all year round!
But look past the glitz and glamour and you’ll start to see the city’s secrets, some of which would scare even the most horror-hardened gore fans.
Scarier than the idea of jumping on the central line at rush hour 😱
Scarier than daring to take a suitcase on the tube 😱 😱
And scarier than being late for a date, and getting off at Covent Garden only to find the escalators are broken and you need to climb each and every one of the 193 steps 😱 😱 😱
Now you could be asking yourself, what could possibly be scarier than any of those?
Well, learning about London’s horrible and now-hidden history, especially when Jack The Ripper is involved!
Y’see, Jack the Ripper is one of London’s greatest unsolved mysteries and even to this day, criminologists and historians are working to uncover the truth behind the city’s most gruesome killer.
But while the facts behind ol’ Jack’s killings are indeed gruesome, the history of the area is equally frightening and fascinating.
During the tour you’ll make your way through dark alleyways and passages as you visit the actual locations where the villain’s infamous stories took place.
Speaking of which, pro tip: make sure you bring a friend who’s comfortable holding your hand in public, just sayin’! 😬
As the adventure gets underway, you’ll start by visiting some of London’s spookiest sites including the mysterious Fleet Street (home of Sweeney Todd), the infamous criminal courts of the Old Bailey, and the ‘possessed’ Drury Lane Theatre which is said to be the most haunted theatre in London.
Then, as it darkens, you'll head towards the East End, a hotbed of crime in Victorian London, and walk Whitechapel's shadowy alleys and cobbled streets, tracing the steps of Jack the Ripper. As you explore the area, your expert and engaging guide will bring 19th century London to life, telling you the myths and facts behind one of the most chilling unsolved murder mysteries of all time. With VOX audio technology, you'll also be able to hear your guide at all times during the tour. Finish your spine-tingling experience with a visit to the 18th century pub where many of Jack the Ripper’s victims were said to have drunk.

Let’s hope you’re not squeamish, because it’s here, in the 10 Bells pub, that you’ll comfort yourself with some traditional fish & chips and chew over your new-found theories on Jack’s real identity.
Will you be able to solve the crime that’s plagued London for well over a hundred years?
Will you be able to see the clues that Inspector Abberline missed?
Well here’s your chance to make history this Halloween...
