After what feels like a decade of bad Coronavirus-related news, travellers have been desperate for some positive news...and we just got it!
That’s right - after months of global travel restrictions and countless travel plan changes, travellers from the UK have been given a boost by the fact that Spain's Canary Islands were added to the British government's safe travel list.
This means that other than filling in those pesky passenger locator forms, travellers visiting the Canaries don’t currently face any entry restrictions. Great news indeed for travellers who are looking for a taste of winter sun with the Canary Islands being one of the only areas in Europe to be warm enough for beach holidays in the autumn and winter months.
And if that wasn’t enough to raise your spirits, the Maldives have also been added to the safe list for UK travellers too - the perfect place to ‘isolate’ if you had to!
The update means that visitors from the UK will no longer have to isolate or quarantine for 14 days on their return (so you’ll be able to show off your tan around town - safely, of course!) but do note that all visitors to the Maldives are required to prove they have had a negative COVID test within 96 hours of arrival.
So if you’re ready for some winter sun, it’s time to get Klooking...
