    Positive note
    “Positivity always wins… Always”
In times like these, we all need a little bit of positivity to get us through another day stuck inside the same four walls. Well, lucky for us amidst the chaos, good things are happening -  people are finding new ways to connect with one another and dogs, usually stuck at home all day on their own are the happiest they’ve ever been 🐶 Grab a cuppa, take a break from WFH and enjoy some positive vibes.

Wildlife in Venice is making a comeback

With the people of Venice on lockdown and no tourists allowed to enter the city, the once busy waterways of Venice are no longer in action, which means less pollution. The result? The clearest Venice’s waters have been for a very long time. Local hotel owners have claimed they can now see shoals of fish and more birdlife returning to the city, ain’t that nice!

    Engaged in Iceland (the shop)

In the last few weeks many people have had to cancel or postpone their holidays and for one man this meant postponing his planned proposal to his girlfriend on their trip to Iceland. Or did it? Most love stories end up with the couple walking down the aisle, but in this case it was the frozen food aisle, as he got down on one knee in Iceland (the frozen food shop), slightly less romantic, but love waits for no man or virus 🧡

Dog Sprains Tail From Wagging So Much During Quarantine

Let’s be honest, any story involving a dog always gives us the feels and this one is no different. As more and more people move into self-isolation our four-legged friends have non-stop company and they are pretty happy about it. One dog in particular, is so happy that his tail stopped wagging. Turns out, he had been over wagging (yes, this is a thing) and had actually sprained his tail, bless his little heart.

So many acts of kindness around the world

From supermarkets opening early for the elderly to coffee shops giving free drinks to NHS workers, the pandemic (albeit totally rubbish) has shone a spotlight on just how easy it is to be kind to one other. Now we just need to keep this going when this is all over 🥰

Pollution from countries in lockdown is at an all time low

On a personal level Covid 19 has put a stop to all the things we love to do, from travelling to seeing friends and family, but it has also put a halt on pollution. Countries which have been in lock-down for some time, such as China and Italy have seen a significant decrease in CO2 emissions, which has led to much cleaner air. Mother Nature is definitely benefiting from this break from normality.

Game of Thrones author George RR Martin in self-isolation

You might be wondering why George RR Martin being in isolation is a positive thing, well Game of Thrones fans will be pleased to know that he is spending this time finishing ‘Winds of Winter’ after nearly a decade of writing it. Question is, will fans get an alternative ending to the controversial TV show ending? 🤔

People are embracing their creative side

Confinement does strange things to us humans and with the majority of the world’s population working from home now, people have been turning to creativity to get them through these tough times.
