This is particularly good for travelling with elderly who are less able to walk. Our family were able to have a glimpse of the city without walking up and down the slopes. The staff are all helpful and friendly. Would be even better if we could see a clear display of the name of the stop we are at (like those you can see on the train).
The hop-on hop-off bus tour was an excellent way to explore Edinburgh, especially for first-time visitors. It made getting around the city easy and convenient while covering all the major attractions, including the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, and more. The audio guide was informative and easy to follow, sharing interesting history and fun facts about the city. The flexibility to hop off at different stops, explore at your own pace, and then hop back on made the experience stress-free and enjoyable. The buses were comfortable, frequent, and offered great views from the upper deck—perfect for sightseeing and photos. This tour helped us get oriented and see a lot of the city in a short amount of time. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a relaxed and efficient way to see Edinburgh.
The buses were all on time, and the audio commentary on the buses was super useful to learn more about Edinburgh's history. We also loved all the stops and attractions at every stop. We definitely enjoyed this tour.

Easy to redeem at any station; and valid for 24 or 48 hours. the audio guide is nice to hear. it’s also relatively frequent (each 10min). Good to learn, but note Edinburgh is walk-friendly and so can also walk.
Great experience to have hop on hop off bus to learn the city. They will introduce the city and tell you the attractions first.
we decided to walk for city sightseeing as attractions were at walkable but many stairs were there so booked hop on hop off... and it's very convenient
It's very convenient, but you can only take the red line (previously, when I messaged customer service, they said all lines were available). The meeting point also lists a London address, which still needs to be corrected.
