[Klook Exclusive] Time is a Black Circle by Dawn Ng
Time is a Black Circle is a throwback to the Swinging Sixties and Disco Fever in the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct where some of Singapore’s discotheques once were. Singaporean artist Dawn Ng's cylindrical "disco time portal" lets you relive a bygone era in your parents' and grandparents' dancing shoes.

What to expect
Time is a Black Circle is a 25-minute retro music, roller skating experience filled with dancing lights and smoke which pays tribute to the seventies when the Swinging Sixties and Disco Fever were all the rage.
Back in the day, party-goers flocked to the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct for live discotheques owned by the likes of Kelong Restaurant and YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association). Of course, the latter’s anthem needs no introduction.
Singaporean artist Dawn Ng has created a “disco time portal”, with a perfectly cylindrical roller skating rink brimming with a symphony of colours and retro melodies. Step into the dancing shoes of your parents and grandparents, and relive a bygone era when influencers of their generations, like The Silver Strings and Rita Chao, painted the town red. Limited seated tickets are also available for this experience.

Fun experience with rollerblading, really felt like we were in a roller rink in the 70s. The event was very safe, they provided safety gear and a space to sit and rest in the Center
My friend and I had a lot of fun. The roller-skates were really cute and came in paste colour. Only wished we were reminded to bring a tall socks - so we wouldn't have to pay 2 dollar to get one at the venue.
walked in a circle over and over again until i puked. 10/10 experience would reccomend. you get to watch dumb people who have never skated in their life fall over again and again and again and its hilarious.
Awesome experience! Helpful crews. Very professional and detailed in their instructions. Though the set up should have a fixed handles for a new beginner to hold.
Love the disco vibe and music. Given a crash course on how to skate and afterwards fumbled on my own 😂 staff were very attentive and made sure to check in periodically
loved the theme, safety brief was good. Lights were nice and staff was helpful and not overly obtrusive while helping us as we fell repeatedly. But thought the execution could have improved at the administration. Initially they had told us our session starts at 9.30 instead of the booked 10pm when we arrived at 9.40pm. We had the impression it was forfeited, but the issue was rectified and we were allowed to join the 10pm group.
It was very good! We enjoyed it a lot. We (me and my wife) were surprised by excellent quality and look of "old style" roller skates. Also rink was good, and music simply the best. And many thanks to the crew, especially those who helped people with skates!
good good good but I went alone hahaha but it’s good the crew keep checking ppl are okay or not
Pretty fun experience! My only wish was if it was longer. The vibes and music was nice!
I love this throwback in time. The skating was very fun. I would totally recommend but maybe not for advanced skaters as they would get bored. The staff was super friendly and helpful
