Nantou: Sun Moon Lake Standup Paddleboarding

If you are in Ita Thao, it is right next to the cable car station, and the store is called Sun Moon Panshi. This time I paddled with my children. SUP paddling is more suitable for bold children. If adults are too heavy or too tall, they will easily fall into the water. Allen, the coaching staff, provides good service and is reliable in taking photos and aerial photos with mobile phones. It is recommended to bring an Apple mobile phone to collect photos.

At first, I had a hard time finding it when meeting the coach, but luckily everything went smoothly~ Our coach is Ah Zheng, he is very young, but very professional, and I am very satisfied with the photos he took🥰

The coach is very professional, and the camera skills are very good, and the aerial camera also helped us take a lot of great videos! Recommended!

The business hours are very flexible, you can use it if you arrive early, and the service staff has a good attitude

I had a really lovely time stand-up paddleboarding on Sun Moon Lake. PS SUP near the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway was easy to find - there was a pedestrian trail from Ita Thao and the rainbow dock was a helpful identifier! There were changing stalls and lockers for belongings (although no locks) and the instructor gave me a waterproof phone bag to borrow. There was only one other person signed up for the same time and the lake was still quiet when we started at 9am. The instructor spoke limited English but used a translation app when he needed to get across more complicated instructions. It was my first time stand-up paddleboarding and it was a gorgeous setting and the instructor was helpful. We were out on the water for 2 hours and the instructor took lots of photos and even used a drone to take videos which he shared afterwards.

The coach is very professional ~ I experienced SUP for the first time and it was very successful 🏆. Next time you have a chance, you must play again!

we booked the sunset session (4pm) and had a 2h session. The instructor took a lot of pictures for us cos we didnt have our phones. You will fall into the water quite alot of times if you’re a first timer so don’t bother bringing your phones or cameras. It was quite fun and time passed quickly. I think 2 hours is optimal for this activity. Remember to use sun block if you’re here in the afternoon as the sun gets very strong.

it was fun adventure, I suggest booking the 5 am slot as there are no boat in the water yet and you get to catch the sun rising over the mountains. The instructors help us take photos and they are a great company
