Taipingshan & Jiuzhize Hot Springs Day Tour from Taipei or Yilan

It was a truly memorable trip with stunning views and a fantastic atmosphere. I would love to visit again if the chance arises—perhaps during the autumn foliage season or in winter next time. It’s a great option for a short nature walk that isn't too strenuous or time-consuming. Doing it as a day trip from Taipei is very manageable and doesn't leave you feeling too exhausted.

This was even better than my first trip to Taiping Mountain! Highly, highly recommended. The highlight was definitely meeting our amazing driver, Ah-Yan (Bing-Cheng), who gave us such a wonderful experience. Most importantly, his exceptional driving skills made us feel completely secure the whole way. It was so comfortable we slept soundly and didn't get motion sick at all. Furthermore, the schedule and timing were managed so perfectly that the entire trip was relaxing and enjoyable. Along the way, he enthusiastically recommended many fantastic local foods and attractions, making our trip truly rewarding! ❤️ It gave us the most wonderful memories of our Taiping Mountain trip! 😊 Simply amazing~~~~

We went end of Oct so it was misty and rainy which can be somewhat troublesome, it's 12 degrees so do wear thicker clothing! Because it was so misty it felt like we were in a Japanese mountain from the movie, we managed to go to the hot spring (around 25-30mins) + cook corn and eggs! recommend to bring along swimming cap,slippers and swimwear for the hot spring! also would be good to bring your own bread to go along with the corn and egg although they do sell Ba Zhang (and some basic burger buns over there). our driver qisong is very friendly and helpful with excellent driving skills! oh I really liked the bong bong train too! do note for the bong bong you'll have to go up the staircase - saw some other older visitors struggling but manage to climb it might not be suitable for people with difficulty climbing

The itinerary was exceptionally well-organized and offered great value for the price. Driver Mr. Ye provided attentive service and detailed explanations. Although the meeting time was quite early, arriving at Taipingshan before other tourists entered allowed us to take photos and sightsee peacefully—it was an ideal schedule! Due to some road closures caused by loose soil, we couldn't visit certain areas, which made the 2.5 hours at Taipingshan very relaxed. Please note that the time allocated for Jiuzhize Hot Spring is only 1 hour, which is basically not enough for soaking in the hot springs. However, you can rent a basket on-site to boil corn and eggs, which makes for a fun experience.

The driver is punctual. Always be there before the pick up time. We went for the Taipingshanzhuang route. Worth the trip, beautiful mountainous place. cloudy misty. Those who got car sickness need to bring medication as the way up the mountain is so winding and giddy. Overall is a very good experience.

Absolutely loved my visit to Taipingshan National Forest! The scenery was breathtaking—every corner looked like it came straight out of a postcard. It was incredibly peaceful and beautiful, the perfect escape into nature. One of the highlights was definitely the bong bong train ride—such a fun and charming experience! I left feeling refreshed and in awe of the natural beauty. Will 100% be coming back! Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature, tranquility, and a bit of adventure. Big shoutout to our driver, Mr.Chou, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely nice—he made the whole trip even more enjoyable with their warm personality and helpful insights.

taipingshan experience is a hidden gem of taiwan, every part of it is nice be sure to it first before travelling for now january 2026 there is no restaurant there in Jiuzhize it is under construction but you can boil egg and eat steamed buns. It was a nice a experience

The entire itinerary was well-planned, with 4 hours for sightseeing, plus 3 hours for the outbound journey and 3 hours for the return journey, totaling exactly 10 hours, which I felt was sufficient. I booked the outbound trip for 6:30 AM, but the driver actually arrived around 6:15 AM. The car was clean, and our driver, Mr. Wu, was very enthusiastic, telling us about good photo spots on Taiping Mountain and where to go sightseeing once we arrived. He also communicated the schedule very clearly. I highly recommend a day trip to Taiping Mountain if you get the chance!

Went in with fairly low expectations, honestly thought it might turn out to be a bit of a bore — but it turned out to be a wonderful trip! Our driver deserves special mention: he was patient, cautious, and genuinely took care of us throughout. There's no separate guide, but the driver briefs you on what to do at each stop, which worked out just fine( he speaks Chinese get translated by other tourists).The only real suggestion I'd make to the tour operator: please allow 1.30 hours for the hot stone bath, not 50–60 minutes. It's simply not enough time,so I skipped it. Weather can be unpredictable, but we were lucky — had excellent weather on 16.09.2026, our day out. Overall, a trip we'll remember fondly.

Very peaceful trip! We were only 7 in this tour and the only Filipino in the group. Either way I get to celebrate my birthday in this stunning province. Really peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
