What to expect
Known for its beaches and nightlife, Goa is one of India’s most visited cities. But there is one more thing that attracts hordes of tourists to the area — the diversely delicious Goan cuisine. Once a Portuguese colony and having briefly been under the rule of Muslim and Hindu Kingdoms, Goan cuisine has accumulated all of these influences into a delicious mix. On this 3-hour culinary adventure, you will get to try some of the region’s famous delicacies starting with a welcome drink of kokum sarbat and an starter of prawn cutlets made with coconut, onion and Goan spices. Move on to the mains: prawns or fish hooman, seafood sukem, bangda pickle, fried fish and seafood tonak served with Goan bread and steamed rice. Pair the meal with kismoor and sol kadi and have the delicious banana halwa for dessert.
