Event Introduction |
The 8th Taipei Illustration Fair in 2025 revolves around the theme "I Wish to Be a Cat in My Next Life," inviting everyone to explore this relaxed and carefree world.
Each year, the Taipei Illustration Fair is dedicated to discovering diverse and unique illustration styles and providing a platform for creators to showcase their work—"Making Illustration More Than Just Illustration." The artworks do not necessarily have to feature cats, but through various illustrations, we hope to help people rediscover the simple joys of life and reconnect with their inner spiritual world. In this era of information overload, we are constantly surrounded by endless messages, work, and stress, gradually becoming true “corporate slaves.” Overtime, reports, meetings, KPIs—these terms incessantly remind us of our mental and physical exhaustion, to the point where being a corporate slave feels even more tiring than being a pet at home! "I Wish to Be a Cat in My Next Life" has become a deep-seated desire for many. Imagine living a carefree life like a cat—how wonderful that would be! A cat’s day is simple and leisurely—they sleep, hunt for food, cuddle, play, and live without conflict, basking in unconditional love and trust while savoring every moment of the present. As they stretch out under the warm sun, can we also learn from them how to regain inner peace and reconnect with ourselves?
These artistic creations aim to inspire audiences to pause amidst their busy lives, reflecting on how to return their hearts to themselves, learn to enjoy the present moment, and embrace inner tranquility. We hope this year’s Illustration Fair will serve as a small turning point in people’s lives, encouraging them to rethink their life pace and find their own balance and happiness. Through illustration, we will showcase how to express inner thoughts and seek simple joy and serenity in this complex world. The desire to "be a cat in my next life" and the feline way of life remind us that enjoying the moment and focusing on the present are the keys to finding peace.

About Taipei Illustration Fair |
"Illustration" is a form of artistic expression that combines artistic creation with text, both non-verbal and verbal, possessing the communicative essence of "narrating" inner thoughts.
"Taipei Illustration Fair" has created an illustration art exhibition that belongs to Taipei City, is rooted in Taiwan, and is connected internationally. Through annual themed curatorial solicitations, it collects and exhibits works from domestic and foreign illustration creators, and designs an award system to encourage and support illustration creation. This illustration art festival, which belongs to Taipei City, has become a regularly held event, bringing together outstanding local illustrators, jointly exposing and consolidating the benefits of illustration, and promoting the virtuous cycle of the illustration art industry, so that "Illustration is no longer just illustration."

Four of Cups A man is enjoying the shade under a big tree of dissatisfaction and opportunity. Suddenly, a hand holding a golden cup burst out of the air, symbolizing a new opportunity, but the man remained unmoved! The three upright golden cups on the ground carry the beautiful memories of the past. The man stared at the three gold cups, but felt bored and ignored the fourth gold cup, which represents the stage of dissatisfaction with the current situation and hesitation about whether to change. From the 3rd card to the 4th card, a stable framework began to be established, and this was also because the emotions began to no longer float so much. After celebrating or carousing with others for a while, I began to take a short break and give myself time to be alone.
The exhibition was smaller than I expected, but buying tickets in advance was quite a good deal. Buying them on the day would have cost 350 yuan per person. Many foreign artists came to the venue, and the artwork was quite diverse.
It was my first time to come to the Taipei Illustration Art Festival. It was really amazing to see creators from all over the world gather together and learn about their respective creative backgrounds and stories. I loved it so much that I even drew a thumbs up on the scene!
It prefers to sell products made by each illustrator. There are fewer works and no consistent layout. It invites many illustrators from different countries, which is okay.
Some interesting creators are on display, with a wide variety of illustration art. Overall, the experience was pretty good, and it was a good way to meet new creators.
The exhibition brings together the booths of many artists with various styles. As long as you look carefully, you will always find unexpected surprises!
Early bird discount for tickets. After admission, you can start viewing various types of illustration creations. It’s worth the ticket price.
It’s a good deal to buy the high-speed rail ticket package for this exhibition. The exhibition area is very rich in content
This was my first time participating, and I initially came with a casual attitude, but I ended up loving it!😍 With cats as the theme, each creator very patiently introduced the stories behind their works to the people coming and going. It's wonderful! 👍 You definitely have to come and see it! 👀☺️
Highly recommended to everyone! ! There are many great illustrators, I like them very much, and I got a lot of cute stickers and postcards!
