Reviews summaryA must-experience snorkeling trip 🤩👏🏻 It's easy to take a boat to Modeng Island, enjoy the sun and beach, experience snorkeling, and witness many marine life including dolphins and turtles! The boat company also provides pick-up and drop-off services in the city, which is suitable for families and tourists who do not rent a car. The yacht is very new and large. There are also some refreshments to enjoy and some cold lunch platters when boarding. Snorkeling activities are conducted in groups. Under the guidance of professionals, we experienced nearly 45 minutes of snorkeling near the shipwreck area! Highly recommended 😍 (I even thought it was too short). Along the way, our instructors will also explain to us and help everyone find different marine life! Very worth a try!
We took a bus early in the morning, then headed to the port, where staff warmly greeted us right at the boat's entrance. No need to eat breakfast beforehand, as they provided it. We were divided into two groups to go snorkeling and see the shipwreck separately. Our group ate lunch first, then went snorkeling. After lunch, we were free to enjoy the water on our own, and they even provided SUP boards! I'd say it's excellent value for money, and the food was quite good too. For snorkeling, we were split into even smaller groups, and the instructors were enthusiastic, explained everything very carefully, and it was super fun! I highly recommend this tour; you can just show up and enjoy without any worries.
The boat ride to the island was very clean and comfortable. We were lucky enough to see wild dolphins. Snorkeling was also a lot of fun. Thank you, Kye and Nicole!
Cam, our driving instructor, was really nice and patient. it was a surreal experience and the good was also great. Staff took great care of us all. A few points to note, too many people on the boat with many we has to take turns getting into the choppy ocean after lunch. Not really an ideal dive option. Secondly the evening tea should have had the pastries rather than morning as we were all getting ready to dive into the ocean, so food wasn’t on our minds…
We rushed to the meeting point early in the morning, determined to arrive before the designated time. The instructions said to be there by 7:20 AM, but the shuttle didn't show up until almost 7:40 AM. Haha... I guess that's just how things are in Australia! After all, it was a Sunday morning, so a slight delay was understandable. It took about an hour to reach the port where we'd board the boat. As soon as we arrived, we were lucky enough to see a huge rainbow, and then we set sail. Once on board, complimentary refreshments and coffee were available. About 50 minutes later, we reached the Tangalooma Wrecks snorkeling spot at Moreton Island. Although the snorkeling time was only about an hour, the underwater scenery was truly impressive, with many fish species different from those we'd seen while snorkeling in Taiwan. After snorkeling, it was lunchtime, which was a buffet and quite filling. Following lunch, we had free time. You could relax on the boat, stroll on the beach, or try stand-up paddleboarding. The boat then departed for the port around 4:00 PM.
This is my second time participating in this activity. I am very satisfied with the arrangement. Although there are more people participating during Easter, and there are more people in the group activities during snorkeling, the coach will take care of everyone.
My tour was fantastic! The pickup in Brisbane was super easy. The lunch was great. My guide Mela made everyone feel safe and provided so much great information. The whole crew was very helpful.
Service: The ferry crew was very friendly, and the facilities and catered food were great. The snorkeling equipment was all washed and clean. Value for money: When I booked, I thought it was a bit pricey, but considering the facilities and itinerary, it seems like a very cost-effective tour.
everything went so smooth, we booked a day before and it has been confirmed in a minute. service was great, activity was spot on
The whole trip was smooth, and the lunch buffet was delicious. However, the day trip felt a bit too short. It would be great to have an overnight stay option on the island.
