The Clifford Pier & Gin Parlour at The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore

Beautiful ambience and definitely pricey. The staff Katrina was wonderful, took nice pictures and even printed out onto a card for our special occasion. There was one young Indian girl who could be an intern. She was courteous but could have been better trained to listen to our question first. We wanted to find out how to order, but she kept insisting she only serves food and can’t take order. Perhaps all staff should at least be briefed on how to answer basic questions as we were not briefed when we got seated. They served platter and soup for a start before using QR code to order main food items. Food is generally not bad, dim sum trolley concept was a nice touch. Desserts were REALLY sweet but had a dry ice presentation which was nice. We later found out from Mano that he could offer a 20% discount if we were to join Fullerton Club. That was a better offer than Klook but we couldn’t take up. Therefore I gave a four stars for value.

Due to covid 19 restrictions we were unable to go despite rescheduling twice. Very happy that hotel and Klook gave us a full refund.

Hotel cancelled my original reservation (which was made weeks ago),because the date I booked had a private event. So, I had to rearrange my schedule at an opportunity cost. Service: Every table got their food within ten minutes of being seated. I was alone, n waited for at least 15mins before I caught hold of a staff and told her what's happening. I guess they are understaffed and can't be bothered with lone diners. Food: The Heritage Platter was cold when it was served to me, as well as the soup. Again, I suppose they left the food in one corner to busy themselves with serving other pairs of diners until I'm the last one who hasn't got my food yet. Average taste. Nothing marvellous, to be fair. Atmosphere: The Grand Lobby is nice. I like the fact that there are no music for now. makes it so much better for conversations, and it's a much calmer atmosphere. Conclusion: Won't return for Heritage Dim Sum Brunch.
