Melbourne Hot Air Balloon Flight at Sunrise

The hot air balloon ride with Liberty was absolutely the best experience during our first family trip to Melbourne. During the communication stage the day before the ride, Nick was so nice and responsive to our inquiries and even granted our last-minute request for a pick-up service (with the hot air balloon wagon!) The pre-trip orientation at historical Hotel Windsor was quick, informative, and straight to the point. I personally really enjoyed the preparation of the hot air balloon set-up as we helped and witnessed how it was set up and prepared for the launch. It was our pleasure to ride with Nick, a gentle, elegantly spoken, humor, and seasoned hot air balloon operator as he was great in the air, telling us everything we needed to know, and answering all questions we had. Nick’s colleague Thorne (not sure about the spelling) was nice to my 6-y-o daughter as we exited the van at the end of the trip. It was a superb experience riding hot air balloon with Nick of the Liberty, I would strongly recommend it to anyone who is coming to Melbourne and planning the ride!

This has been the main highlight of our couple's retreat in Melbourne! The weather was fantastic, and we could watch the sunrise appearing in the horizon. The pilot, Nick, and his son were wonderful. They put everybody at ease with their humor and professionalism. It was indeed a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will remember forever. Highly recommend to go with Liberty!

Hot air ballooning is an unforgettable and wonderful experience. From the preparation stage to the actual flight, every link is full of anticipation. Before takeoff, the staff will explain the safety precautions in detail and let the participants participate in the preparation process of the hot air balloon, which makes people feel involved and excited. As the hot air balloon slowly rises, the sun slowly comes out. Watching the sunrise makes people forget the troubles of daily life. Although it was hard to get to the meeting point at 5:00, the whole process was very enjoyable and it was a journey worth experiencing!

It was an amazing yolo experience for my family. The weather was good but cold, and we arrived at the meeting place at 4am. Do expect to help out for the setup and wrap up. The pilot nick was friendly and experience, we had a good one hour-ish flight over the Melbourne CBD.

The coaches carefully confirm the weather conditions, and will confirm again the day before and in the morning. After all, safety is the most important thing. The process was very comfortable and not too scary, the scenery was beautiful and the instructor was kind! Maybe it will take off at the same time as other hot air balloons~

An event well worth attending! I was lucky enough to see the sunrise through the clouds and fly over the CBD. It was a great experience! The pilot skills are also very good, it is very stable on the top and the landing is also very stable! It's actually not too cold in summer, it's about the same temperature as the ground. It's quite warm when there are fires, but sometimes the wind is strong, so wind protection may be more important. The only bad part of the experience was that the text message was used to notify the meeting time, but it was not actually stated clearly at what time it was, so I had to go early and wait at four o'clock according to the general summer meeting time in the letter. It caused a lot of worries, but fortunately, the registration was successfully completed.

Although I didn’t find a meeting point for the hotel, other companies have provided assistance to carry the hot air balloon to a fixed point. The tour guide is very professional and the air is very good. There are a lot of mosquitoes while waiting for the hot air balloon. Please also pay attention to this point, and everything else is fine, because in summer, the gathering is at 4:30 in the morning. Either you live near the hotel or take a taxi. I ride an electric scooter for about $10 for 3 kilometers for your reference.
