Rainforestation Nature Park Day Trip from Cairns

Well-planned, the driver explained the itinerary in detail and patiently helped solve problems. The rainforest station's zoo and experience were quite interesting, but Kuranda town was a bit boring.

I was very satisfied with the Rainforestation experience. My children especially enjoyed the Army Duck boat, the Aboriginal culture introduction, and the show. However, the bus transfer took quite a long time and was tiring because it stopped at so many hotels. I recommend taking a taxi or bus since it's nearby.

The army duck ride was so fun. Highly recommend everyone to go. It’s like having a biology class in person. It was a pity that we didn’t take the sky rail as we were not aware of it when choosing the packages.

Take the shuttle bus to Kuranda Rainforest Park and first go to the cable car station. Since the cable car is not included in the package itinerary, you buy your own ticket at the cable car station. It is recommended to buy a cable car and ride up the mountain! Along the way, you can see the sea view of Port Douglas and the towering tropical rainforest. You can also get off the bus for a guided tour by a commentator. At the second stop, you will see the magnificent waterfall, which is very worth it! The rainforest park also has some aboriginal experience activities. The full-day trip is also rich and interesting. In the afternoon, you will be taken back to Kuranda Village, where there are some small shops where you can buy souvenirs.

I really enjoyed the Rainforestation Nature Park. It is small, but the army duct tour was educational and you're able to pet kangaroos. The Kuranda Village is just a marketplace and most of the shops are closed by 3pm. Looking back I would have stayed longer in the Nature Park to observe the animals instead. Overall good experience though.

The natural park is not large, but if you just want to get in touch with and understand the tropical rainforest, it is a great choice. The driver who picks up and drops off is kind.

The ancient tropical rain forest is rich in biodiversity and preserves many natural primitive landscapes.

Very fun, the cable car scenery is very good, you can hug koalas and kiss kangaroos.
