Reviews
Reviews summaryWe participated with a total of 4 people, including my 70-year-old parents and a friend. My parents especially were overjoyed. They seemed to have had a lot of fun and said it was a great memory. If you don't get much exercise, be prepared for sore muscles after the activity. If you realize you weren't very good at riding, your lower back may hurt. However, it was a really good experience. I recommend it. ↓↓ The following is a detailed report. The parking lot is large and free, so we took the highway from around Waikiki in a hui and enjoyed the drive along the way! As I researched, the parking lot was spacious, and even though it was a Saturday afternoon, we were able to park the car with ease. When we told the receptionist that we had a reservation, they confirmed the reservation by last name, checked the passport of the reservation representative only, and handed us the precautions written in Japanese. It was a very smooth process. I made sure to arrive with plenty of time to spare, but the directions were easy to understand and it was much smoother than I imagined, so we had plenty of time. We bought a hot dog ($5) and a canned coffee ($2) at the local shop and had a snack to kill time. I was worried about the weather, but it was sunny, so the sun was strong. Some people were wearing short sleeves, but I wore long sleeves to protect myself from the sun. You can wear a helmet over your hat or cap. Shoulder straps for cell phones are not allowed, but you can borrow a bag to put your luggage in and put it on the horse. You can put water and your cell phone in the bag. You will watch a movie of precautions, which is available in Japanese. However, once the activity starts, it is all in English. The explanations are not difficult, so even if you don't speak English, it should be fine. You can take photos with your cell phone while riding. The instructor also takes photos and shares them with you via AirDrop after the activity. As is common in tourist spots, the photos taken by the photographer are sold for $20 each, and you will be posed for photos while riding. Before doing the activity, I thought I didn't need it, but after the activity, I thought, 'I might as well buy it as a souvenir.' It was such a good experience. (It was great this time because it was sunny, but the impression would be quite different if it rained.)
The horse riding experience is very fresh and fun. The staff provides professional teaching and guidance. Riding a horse in such a spectacular scenery is really an unforgettable memory.
I was very satisfied with the experience; I got to ride much longer than I did when I tried it about 10 years ago. I was hesitant because the price had increased, but it was well worth it since the duration and distance of the ride were also extended.
The young, beautiful woman who accompanied me was very kind and helpful. It was my first time riding a horse, and I was scared, but I managed to complete the ride and return safely.
An awesome tour! Everyone was very friendly. I had seen a review (perhaps was an older review?) that expressed concern about the horses, but to us, they looked to be in great condition and well taken care of as far we could tell. Might not cover as much ground as tours by motorized vehicle, but the path we took was perfect, starting in the shade, then along the edge of the mountain with ocean view, then into the valley, then back into the shade, all with stunning views of the mountains as the backdrop. It was peaceful and beautiful, and I cannot imagine a better way to see Kualoa Ranch. We kept to a slow walk, no trotting, which was fine for us as none of us had much experience riding. If you are an experienced rider comfortable with trotting, then possible this may feel too slow for you. We were starting to feel a little sore towards the end of the ride, but felt the length of the ride was just right. Note arrival time is 45 mins before start of tour, to allow for check-in.
Although the price is not cheap, it is still worth it after traveling all the way. The basic skills and precautions video is available in Chinese. I will watch it before setting off.

It is definitely a great experience to ride a horse to visit the Jurassic Park shooting sites under the magnificent natural scenery! super recommended
Abruptly canceled 10 minutes before the start due to a sudden strong wind. I was shocked, but it can't be helped when I think about the horses. They changed the course to a driving tour (same price) and that was also enjoyable. The service was good and it was a fun drive. I was able to take lots of pictures at each point.
It's fun to participate in horse riding activities. You can take pictures slowly. The tour guide takes good care of everyone. It's a great experience👍
