its an open zoo where you can interact with some animals by feeding. its huge and needs a gold cart or tram to go around with additional payment. redeeming the klook tickets are located at a nearby outpost outside the zoo. food stalls are available inside. spent around 1 to 2 hours here due to hot weather.
Honestly it was such a lovely zoo, it was so big and loved that the animals get to roam about quite freely(: we even rented a buggy to ride around zoo and it was so worth while! (Note you need a license to drive the buggy) you can also feed the deer, capybaras and elephants(: if you bought your tickets from Klook, walk down the slope to the right side you'll see a little white shack to redeem your online tickets(: Moo Deng and her animal friends were all so wonderful to see ❤️
One of our favorite activities in Thailand. The animals were roaming free around the zoo and there’s a tram that goes around where you can ride and alight in each stops. We loved the shows with the animals and how you can interact with a few of them.
I refused to go to Thailand without seeing my girl Moo Deng! 🐷 When we got to the zoo first thing in the morning, she had just eaten and went straight for a nap — so we didn’t get to see her “rage,” but honestly, just seeing her in person completely made my day! Of course, I couldn’t resist buying a giant Moo Deng plushie, which I have zero regrets about… buuuut fitting her into my suitcase was definitely a challenge 🤣 The day we visited was incredibly humid, so walking around the park was tough. We ended up renting a golf cart, which was a lifesaver. Since it was low season, though, the mosquitoes were out in full force — by the end of the day, we were covered in bites. Come prepared with lotion and spray, and re apply more than usual! Trust me! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to the zoo with minimal issues. Just a tip — arrange for a personal driver or book your Grab in advance, since the zoo is a bit of a drive up into the mountains.
2nd time to travel to KKZ! Always here for my baby girl, Moo Deng and all the hippo family. This is a must for first time Thailand BKK travels, because KKZ is really so beautiful. Zoos in my country are just concrete and metal cages withoul life. But KKZ is different, they really made the Zoo as close to the wild as much as they can. They love the animals in KKZ specially my Moo Deng.
An unforgettable adventure! Buying tickets through the app is very easy, and exchanging the voucher for tickets was seamless. I highly recommend arriving at opening time. We arrived at 8:30 AM and were able to see the animals without the crowds. Be sure to visit Lemur Island; the first feeding is at 10:00 AM, and the entrance fee is 50 baht + 20 baht for food.
Really went here to see Moo Deng! 🦛 She's getting bigger now and sooo cute🥹 I was surprised how big and spacious the zoo. I know people have different opinions about it, but from what I've observed, the animals are well taken care of and they have plenty of space to roam / run around. My only concern is the elephant show that they're talking about. I didn't get to see this neither planning to watch it. I just hope they STOP this and let them be normal elephants. Focus on taking care of animals and educating people on how they should be treated, fed, and taken care of. It would also be great to share their history and how they end up being in the zoo. It's better to encourage people to come here because you would want to keep maintaining the place and take care of the animals rather than putting up animal shows or doing other gimmicks.
3rd time visiting Khao Kheow, this time through klook. I realized that when I went with a guide (the second time) - they also use this service, because you get tickets in the trailer, and not at the ticket office. I paid another 35 baht for the bus, but it turned out to be a waste of money, it is easier to walk, I thought the bus could also take you to the pink zone, but it turned out only in the green - and there it is easier to walk in a circle so as not to miss anything. In the pink, it seems, you can use your own car (I don’t know about a bike, and it is better to check about the car) or a rented golf cart. We just walked.
