Highly recommended

Vincent is informative and takes good care of the whole group. I recommend the tour to the ones who’d like to understand how champagne is made and who want to taste champagne.

What to expect

Love Champagne and history? Then you should try this full day tour to Reims. Reims is famous not only for its contribution to France's history by being home to Cathédrale Notre-Dame, the cathedral where France's kings were crowned, but also for being the unofficial capital of the Champagne region in France. At Reims, there is plenty to see and do and that's exactly what you'll be doing during this tour. Start your day early with a pick up from your accommodation or the travel agency in Paris, then board the luxurious coach that will take you straight to the heart of Reims. The first stop is a tour of the Mumm Champagne house, where you will be taken to their cellar for a chance to learn about how Champagne is created. After the tour of the cathedral, you have free time to explore the city of Reims, grab some lunch, or do some souvenir shopping. After, you'll be taken to Epernay to visit your second Champagne house for the day, Mercier, which dates back to 1858. There, you will board a train that will take you to a cellar 100 feet deep. The tour ends with a chance to taste some of the exquisite Champagne, and then off to Paris you go, happy with a day well spent!
