Sompong Thai Cooking Class in Bangkok

Chinese people don't deceive Chinese people. It's so much fun, friends! After registering on-site, the teacher will lead everyone to the vegetable market to purchase and learn about the ingredients and spices used for cooking today. All ingredients are fresh and made on the spot, and cooked with a gas stove, so it has a good wok hei. The whole classroom is very warm and clean, the tableware is replaced quickly, and the rhythm is well arranged. The school will prepare the ingredients and kitchen utensils, so students don’t need to prepare or clean them at all. The teacher is very humorous and teaches in English throughout. Some keywords are relatively easy to understand, and the pronunciation of some ingredients in Chinese will also be introduced, such as the basil leaves for Pad Krapow, shrimp paste (Cantonese ha gao), etc. They will also take the initiative to take pictures of us when we go to the vegetable market, and also took very beautiful photos while waiting on the spot. I went with my husband and had a great time. Several families with children also participated. The overall experience was very good. Safety: In terms of safety, knives and gas stoves will be used. If you bring children, you need to take care of them. Location: The location is easy to find, in a small branch alley next to a very prosperous city center. Instructor: Our instructor is Ant. He is very, very nice and super cute.

it is so amazing experience. for those 1st timer haven experience b4 cooking class and wanted to know how to cook Thai famous food. should give it a try. Ms June and the team was amazing helpful cheerful and making the whole cooking experience so enjoyable. and the taste of the food we had was so lovely. MUST TRY. 6stars rated.

MS June and her team are super friendly. they demonstrated all ingredients and lot of cooking skills to us. My son and me had a great time at this lovely school. All dishes are far away better than restaurant. I will definitely introduce this school to my family and friends!

Jun is really helpful! I had such a fun and memorable time at Sompong Thai Cooking School. The instructors were very friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, making the whole class enjoyable and easy to follow even for beginners. I discovered this Thai cooking class gem in November 2024, and 1 year after here I am again, and with my husband. It's a full experience. How well is everything planned, the lovely energy of the beautiful teacher Ant, the kind staff, the quantity and QUALITY of food,... overall one of the best experiences we had ever. The cooking space is so quaint, colorful and clean! The whole 3.5 hours functioned perfectly like it was choreographed, and everything went smoothly. Ant was so informative, fun and friendly! We adored this experience and you will absolutely leave very full.

Chef June was lively and all the assisting people were readily available. They gave my 4-year old daughter some coloring since she was free to be in the class. We started at 2:45pm and finished cooking four dishes (golden banana in syrup, paenang chicken curry, papaya salad, and pad thai) and eating them before 6pm. The place was homey and colorful.

This was a very memorable experience! An activity you shouldnt miss when you are in Thailand. Teacher Ants was very informative and she shared how rich their culture was. Oh, did I mention that you also get to eat what you cook? Dont miss this activity especially if you are with friends or family!
