I happened to catch the capybaras soaking in a maple leaf hot spring. They were fighting over branches to eat, so cute!! You can pet capybaras near the main gate; their fur is a little stiff 😆. The zoo also has many different kinds of animals. I got to see penguins and owls up close. I think it's well worth a visit!! P.S. The claw machine outside the souvenir shop inside the park is much easier than the one near the bus stop!!
lovely place which allows you to get up close and personal with a variety of animals. Boat ride was fun too but take note they only speak Japanese.
Had a really fun day feeding the animals! Loved that we could pet the capybaras and feed so many of the animals, especially the red panda. The animal food is a bit overpriced, but understandable since it helps with the upkeep of the zoo. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed the whole experience.
Convenience of booking with Klook: Easy redemption for physical tickets. Experience: Pleasant, with the opportunity to touch and feed capybaras firsthand. Facilities: Includes a Mount Fuji observation deck.
Once you've purchased your ticket, you can simply scan the barcode at the counter to enter (but remember the redemption website seems to be in Japanese). There are many animals inside such as otters, alpacas, owls, monkeys, groundhogs... I was hoping to see capybaras bathing, but I only saw them pooping in the water 😅
This trip was in a family setting and together with my niece who loved cappybara. The zoo is very clean and well kept. It is far from Tokyo but this is less crowded. Buying tickets online makes it convenient to enter.
amazing, adorable and absolutely fun! we didn’t expect to spend so much time there. it was a tidy and clean place with many animals
very family friendly and they have a range of animals for you to pet gently as well! suitable for familes with kids!
