The Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park is located in the northern foothills of the Qilian Mountains, within the borders of Linze and Sunan counties. It is 40 kilometers east of Zhangye urban area and 20 kilometers north of Linze county seat. The scenic area covers a total area of 50 square kilometers, with a tourist activity area of 4 square kilometers, and is now a Global Geopark and a National 5A-level Tourist Attraction. Within the scenic area, there are 7 viewing spots including the Colorful Sea of Clouds, Colorful Fairy Fate, Colorful Brocade, Colorful Rainbow Glow, Crouching Tiger Gorge, Colorful Ao River, and Wanyuan Earth Forest Valley. There are also more than 30 landscapes such as the Divine Dragon Playing with Fire, Spirit Monkey Watching the Sea, Divine Turtle Asking Heaven, Golden Toad Asking the Way, Large Scallop, Colorful Screen, Sleeping Beauty, and Crouching Tiger. It is a highly composite area of colorful hills and Danxia landforms.
