- The entire show is directed by National First-Class Director Shi Wei (General Director of the Village Opening Ceremony for the 2023 Universiade, Core Producer of the Sichuan Provincial Song and Dance Theater). Inspired by the national treasure "Emperor Taizong Receiving the Tibetan Envoy" (Bu Nian Tu), and structured around the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, it faithfully recreates Princess Wencheng's arduous three-year journey to Tibet starting at the age of 16. The ten chapters progress step by step, creating an immersive portrayal of the diverse Han, Qiang, and Tibetan ethnic cultures and customs along the way. Every frame embodies the character and strength of the prosperous Tang Dynasty alongside the romance of the snowy plateau, allowing viewers to understand the millennia-old epic of Han-Tibetan matrimonial alliance upon watching.
