What to expect

Under the guidance of a professional calligrapher, you will learn the techniques of using the brush and basic strokes. Designed for foreign beginners, the course allows you to freely choose to write different works, such as a single Chinese character "Dragon" or "Happiness" (1 hour), or more complex works such as "Three Powers in One" and "Great Virtue is Like Water" (requires 2 hours). Every stroke is an understanding and inheritance of Chinese culture. Upon completion, you can take your calligraphy work home as a souvenir of your learning experience. In addition, we will introduce the development history of calligraphy, the Four Treasures of the Study (brush, ink, paper, and inkstone), and idioms related to calligraphy to enrich your cultural knowledge.
