Watch skilled sumo wrestlers demonstrate traditional rituals and powerful techniques before facing off in exciting live matches. An English-speaking MC brings the world of sumo to life, explaining its rules, traditions, and cultural significance in an engaging way.
The experience also includes a Q&A session with the wrestlers, offering a unique opportunity to learn about their training, daily life, and sumo traditions.
Selected guests may have the chance to step into the ring and challenge a sumo wrestler. After the show, take photos with the wrestlers and capture a memorable moment.
Combining live sumo, cultural insights, and interactive moments, this experience offers an entertaining way to discover the fascinating world of sumo in Shinjuku.
Good to know
- This is not a real tournament.
- Shinjuku Kabukicho Sumo Club is a separate location from Shinjuku Sumo Club. Please check the meeting point carefully before arrival.
- Please note that participation in the sumo challenge is limited to six guests per show. Participants are selected by lottery.
- Doors open 30 minutes before the show starts.
- Entry is not permitted more than 20 minutes after the show starts, as it may disrupt the performance.

We had an excellent time at the Sumo show. Geppou and Toshi were incredibly entertaining sumo wrestlers. And Paula was a great emcee as well. Would definitely recommend this show if you have never watched Sumo before.
it was an excellent show. very entertaining and informative. Hiro and Yuma are good at what they do and also comedic. we are a 12 person grouo and we enjoyed the show. they ask you if you want to challege the sumo upon entry and you should just say yes. more chances of being raffle picked.
The show was educational and entertaining. location is convenient at Shinjuku. we enjoyed the experience thoroughly. recommend that you join in the fun experience too!
Absolutely fantastic! A highlight of our trip! We went as a family - 2 adults and 3 kids and it was wonderful. Jasmin was a brilliant host while Yuma and Hiro were FANTASTIC. 10/10 would absolutely visit again. Thanks again for having us.
i visited today evening and I was really impressed, the team was very friendly and organized from the moment we entered the venue, the host was funny and interactive. and the show was amazing. I had my doubts before I book, but now I strongly recommend 👍
