The Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy (Van Mieu – Quoc Tu Giam) relic site complex is located south of the ancient Thang Long citadel. The Temple of Literature night tour let you experience Hanoi’s famous architectural relic and heritage space in a more impressive and stunning way, but still retains the profound and delicate features of a historical site that was originally considered to be Vietnam’s first national university.
The highlight of the night tour at Thai Hoc courtyard is the 3D mapping show called "Quintessence of Education", inspired by specific elements at the Special National Site of The Temple of Literature associated with the Vietnamese tradition of fondness for learning.

Booking this was the best decision! ✨The entire experience was educational, magical, and one for the books. The tour guides, though young, did their best to share the history of the Temple of Literature. I left with a really good experience and learned about how Vietnam is definitely ahead of us in terms of valuing education and history.
Magical night! We used our Klook voucher for the Temple of Literature night tour and everything was smooth from booking to entry. The site was beautifully lit, with tranquil music and fewer crowds, making it feel extra special. The guided storytelling and light displays brought the history to life — a unique and memorable way to experience this iconic landmark.
lovely tour with experienced guide. enjoyed having time to explore after before the light show. going at night was beautiful and the weather was much cooler. would definitely come again!
Beautiful! It's worth it. The Vietnamese writing activity is very interesting. The light and sound mirror is incredible, and the illuminated gardens leave you speechless.
awesome place to visit, friendly guide and staff, many engaging activities,it is less crowded place ,more to learn ,lotus tea was nice,3D mapping show is amazing
I've been here at daylight, lovely experience too see with extra light. The show was fantastic😍 We tried some traditional vietnamese thing, like writing with a brush and copying a picture to a paper with stenzil (I know this word for it).
Doors open at 6:30 PM. Before that, it's dark and quiet, making you wonder if you're in the wrong place or waiting at the wrong door. Don't worry if that happens to you! The show itself is fantastic, with spectacular lighting and sound. During the performance, tea is served with peanut brittle and sesame bars. I felt so happy to be a part of this experience.
Definitely worth it! We booked this activity at night in the city of Hanoi, wanting to learn more about its culture, and we were truly moved by the way they taught us about their traditions. The atmosphere was great , a interesting calligraphy workshop, very attentive guides showing us around, and a digital and musical show with some snacks while we watched! If you arrive too early, the doors won’t be open yet, but once they do you’ll see the lights and the entry is super quick. Other than that, everything was perfect! Highly recommended!
We arrived a bit before the check-in time and found the place closed. We asked a guard who was nearby, and he told us to wait at the gate until they opened. Once inside, we went straight in and were given wristbands for access. The ladies at the entrance told us to wait 10 minutes for the English tour guide to arrive. We waited for 20 minutes and decided to skip the guide and do the tour on our own, since we didn't see anyone coming, and they left us waiting alone. The entire nighttime tour is beautiful and worthwhile. We also did the calligraphy class that was included with the admission and saw the music and mapping show. We loved it, and we didn't really miss the English tour guide because we preferred to do the tour on our own.
so beautiful, so wonderful, great experience, i was moved
