Yanmenguan

Yanmenguan Pass is located in Yanmen Mountain, about 20 kilometers north of Daixian County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, China. It is an important pass on the Great Wall, and together with Ningwuguan Pass and Pianguan Pass, it is known as the "Outer Three Passes," also known as "Xijinguan Pass." It is one of the most famous ancient passes in China. In 2001, Yanmenguan Pass was designated by the State Council of the People's Republic of China as one of the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. It was first built during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty and has been continuously repaired and expanded over successive generations to achieve its current scale.
