Mogao Caves Ticket Information

Ticket Prices & Inclusions

  • Peak Season (Apr 1-Nov 30): Class A ¥238/per(8 caves + digital films); Class B ¥100/per (4 caves).
  • Off-Peak Season (Dec 1-Mar 31): Ticket ¥140/per (12 caves + digital films).

Booking & Reservation

  • Real-name booking required. Reserve 30 days in advance and bring valid ID.
  • If Class A tickets are sold out, Class B tickets will be arranged automatically without further notice.
  • If both classes are sold out, options are: a) Refund for the Mogao ticket + free time in Dunhuang; or b) Visit the West Thousand Buddha Caves or Dunhuang Museum + refund the price difference.

Important Notices

  • Itinerary Adjustment: The schedule will be arranged based on the reserved time slot. The caves may close due to heavy rain, sandstorms, or major events. Alternative visits to the West Thousand Buddha Caves will be arranged with a price difference refund.
  • Cave Regulations: Photography and videography are strictly prohibited. The use of any flashlight is forbidden (guides use special cold-light lamps).
