What to expect
This is an experience where you can slowly stroll through the historic streets of Gion in Kyoto and capture natural moments in photos. It’s not a shoot where many photos are taken in a short amount of time, but rather proceeds at a calm pace while enjoying the atmosphere of the town and the feeling of the season. The photography takes place mainly in quiet alleys and areas where traditional townhouses remain, avoiding places that tend to be crowded with tourists. Because the photos are taken during natural movements such as walking, stopping, and looking at the scenery, even people who are not comfortable with having their picture taken can participate with peace of mind.
If you choose the kimono plan, the photo walk will begin after you are dressed in a kimono at a local kimono rental shop. Consideration is given to the distance and time that you can walk comfortably in a kimono, making it comfortable even for those experiencing kimono for the first time. The route is adjusted according to the season and conditions of the day, and the photos are taken against the backdrop of Gion’s seasonal expressions. It is an experience suitable for various travel styles, including couples, friends, and solo travelers.
